I was so impressed that I contributed some cash.
It does exactly what I wanted, allowing me to choose between copying and archiving from my IMAP account to my local folders.
In my case I choose to copy messages as a form of backup. There are great filters to allow you to select the age of items etc. It all works great.
Thanks to the developer for a great addon!

Version 0.3 works OK :)
But I cannot understand - Options - Advanced Settings - Time Settings...
You're not the only only who can't understand the option dialog :-)
I should make it more clear by providing tooltips or help pages, however I need more time for that.
In short, the time settings are control when this addon will activate.

Really Useful Extension even being a young one at this point.
[This is the auto-archive functionality that Thunderbird should have built-in (in its core C++ code).
I cannot understand why a great app as Thunderbird doesn't have built-in auto-archiving after so many years! (???)
If at some time Thunderbird developers consider giving TB this functionality they should take good note of the ideas in this nice project. ]
Nice extension
Even the sense of humor (with the sleeping icon) is awesome
-Very communicative developer-
-Fast progressing and very frequent improvements
-A very configurable (tunable) extension that even allows you to create multiple rules, set intervals, Idle time, limits
In one word: "Awesome" as the series name of extensions/plugins from this developer.
Really good and promising...
a little hope of automated message archival,.... finally!
