This is one of those addons that provoke the response: Why wasn't this feature built into the browser as default?

It works fine in firefox 4.0.1 on my win7 x64 machine. I wouldn't want to live without this addon!

It does not work with FF 4.0.1 running on MacOS 10.6.7. I've configured and enabled AutoCopy, but highlighting text does nothing - no blink, no clipboard. The context menu is there, but it does not work because there is nothing in the clipboard. Sigh, this used to be my favorite extension, but I'll have to find something to replace it or move back to Linux.

So good I even donated the $3.99...I've used this software for 3-4 years now and it saves me an absurd amount of time. When I upgraded to FF 4, AutoCopy wasn't compatible yet so I had to use another "auto copy" add-on, which would always be copying things at the WRONG time. Ie, lets say I copied a phrase from an email that I wanted to put in the search box, well, if I clicked inside the search box to delete the phrase already inside it, the dang "auto copy" would copy the old/existing phrase in the search box on the momentary highlighting of it to delete it. Thankfully, this AutoCopy does *NOT* do that, I'd have to say this is probably my #1 add-on to FF for productivity, I'm not sure why its just not built into FF as a standard function I can't live without it and it doesn't cause any ill-wanted side effects.

Many thanks cpaulg and Armand. Got stuck at the very last step. When I dragged it onto a Firefox page I just got a directory. Using a Mac. Not sure if that's the reason. But Armand's file worked and AutoCopy is back. Yippee!

Thanks for the instructions on changing the max version, it worked!
I modified the .xpi and uploaded it here: http://goo.gl/Ate3O for anyone wanting to save the time of doing it yourself.

I am still however getting the transparent menu when the context menu of autocopy is enabled. I know I can disable it, but I find it useful as I often select text and choose either 'search' or 'open in new tab'.

Yes kerraugh I also got the transparent menu but only with Autocopy's own menu activated. If you use the context menu and de-select Autocopy's one it works just fine

I too got it working with the info. A must-have add-on.

Have found that the first menu that comes up has a transparent background though - anyone else experiencing this?

Your modified addon actually works. I love this extension and now I'm happy to be able to use it in FF4.x.

Just open the xpi with WinRAR and edit install.rdf so that the last supported FF version is 4.0. It works like a charm.

Sadly, this add-on does not seem to be compatible with TB 3.1.7.
