It´s still a delicous addon!
My favourite!
Maybe we see an update for the really smooth running TB 78.
Would really appreciate it. =)
Well done.

Talk about FANTASTIC!
This makes Thunderbird a pleasure to use, giving different colours to different accounts, folders etc., but but BY FAR THE BEST THING is the ability to CHANGE FONT SIZES which I have been unable to do in any other way since the last updates to Thunderbird!!!

This add-on is very helpful, but there is a troubling problem.
If I restart Thunderbird twice after activating this add-on, the Star and Read/Unread icon becomes invisible.
It works fine on restarting just after activation, but when I restart again, it occurs.
Environment:
TB 68.9.0 (64bit*)
* The same problem occurred in the 32bit version.

It's a pitty to notice that you will stop the developement. Your addon was and still is so usefull. It helps not to mix up the accounts and mails every day. Thank you for all your reliable effort in the past and all the best to you in the future.

Looks a fab tool, but is a shame you can only change the font on the Subject and From fields.
For a visually impaired person, it would fab it you could have the option to change the font and background on all displayed columns.

This is essential, especially since updating to 68 broke my other relied=upon addons. For some reason, size and front style selections do not work on the From column, though.

I LOVE this add-on, can't live without it!

i love this addon, i wouldn't use thunderbird so well without it. but i must complain that from TB 68.5 it makes mortally slow the scrolling in some folders - not in every folder, only in some ones.
folder of 2K items and 300MB - slow scrolling
folder of 8k items and 475MB - good scrolling
any suggestion?
thanks! maurizio
Unfortunately, each new version of Thunderbird seems to be slower than the last version. In the two folders that you mention, is there any difference in the columns shown that are shown in each folder, or in the usage or otherwise of the columns in each folder? Please reply to: dw-dev@gmx.com

Exactly what I'm looking for but unfortunately it slows scrolling to a crawl on 68.5. I have 4 exchange (imap) and 2 google accounts. No issues when the add on is disabled or not installed. Would be 5 stars all the way if it worked well!

Very good add-on. Anyone using more than one e-mail account in any e-mail-client should have functionality like this to prevent the embarrassing case of sending an e-mail from the wrong address. It makes one wonder why the TB team don't build such functionality as part of the core product.
** Warning **
This add-on does conflict with another add-on called "Identity Chooser" (which has its own neat functionality). By default, both add-ons try to colour the header section of your e-mail windows which causes a conflict resulting in multi-coloured composition windows and confusion as to which account you're sending from. Fortunately, both add-ons also allow you to disable the header colouring feature, so my solution is to switch that feature off in Identity Chooser because the colouring features are more powerful in Account Colors.
It would be nice if both developers could get together to create one unified add-on with the best features of both. But that's how it is for now at least.

Not compatible with 68.4.1
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (13.3).Account Colors is compatible with Thunderbird 68.4.1.
Try uninstalling Account Colors, restarting Firefox twice, and then reinstalling Account Colors.
If that does not work, your Thunderbird profile may be corrupted. Try creating a new Thunderbird profile.

Windows 8.1 and Thunderbird 68.3.1 (32-bit)
High praises but with the latest update, the font sizes and colors are very erratic. Virtually NO colors in the inbox display lines. The tags do show the colors with or without Account Colors enabled but the display lines don't.
If I select an email in the panel, the entire line turns the correct color making the text of the line extremely difficult to read if at all.
I have also noticed that the fonts don't change very well.
I suspect these are being worked on but have had to disable this and wait for a fix.
I have not tried any of this on my lesser used Windows 10 computers. I'm not happy about the intrusiveness of Windows 10 so I don't use it all that much.
"...with the latest update, the font sizes and colors are very erratic" - Do you mean the latest update to Thunderbird or the latest update to Account Colors?
Are you using the Light or Dark theme (i.e. not the Default theme)?
"... the entire line turns the correct color" - Are you referring to the font color or the background color? Does correct color mean correct with or without Account Colors enabled?

Super dodatek, ale proszę dodać możliwość ustawienia koloru poprzez wpisanie "hex color".
Bez powyższego bardzo trudno ustawić ten sam kolor.
Edit1: Hex box to set the color is not active and there isn't any value.
Please can you send a screenshot of the color picker that is not working to: dw-dev@gmx.com

Excellent add-on, I was using it for a long time!
However, now I have to disable it, because of problems with correspondents column in thread pane.
When this add-on is enabled, arrows in correspondent column disappear.
This problem is fixed in Account Colors 13.2, which has been submitted to the Thunderbird team for review and release.
With Christmas and the New Year, it may take a couple of weeks for Account Colors 13.2 to be released.

Nice concept. 1) I am not able to color the CC/BCC fields of the message pane. 2) When new mail enters the folder, the folder becomes bold but does not colors, unless I hover on it with the mouse. All "reinstates" are set. Use version 68.3 of TB.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (13.0).1) The general idea is to highlight the account/identity that messages are sent from. So only the From email address and meesage Subject are colored.
2) This is a bug that was not spotted during the update for Thunderbird 68. A new version (13.1) of Account Colors, that fixes this problem, has been submitted to the Thunderbird team for review and release (which may take a week or more).

HI, The background color of the header of the compose window is salmon color and can't get rid of it for TB 68.2.2!
Thank you for your reply. it's a conflict with the extension identity chooser!
By default, Account Colors colors the header background in the compose window with the background color of the email account/identity currently selected in the "From" dropdown menu.
You can prevent this header background coloring in the Account Colors Options dialog:
- either by selecting the 'Account/Identity Colors' tab and setting the account/identity background color to white or to light grey (#F0F0F0).
- or by selecting the 'Compose Window' tab and disabling all of the 'Color ... Background' options.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You've saved my Thunderbird experience I was about to uninstall due the the new dark/light themes in 68 not working for me font wise.

Thank you for updating this wonderful add-on, however the "Font Colors" do not work properly when using the add-on with the Windows 10 dark theme setting.
From my testing, the font colors of this add-on gets overridden to white when setting the Windows 10 default app mode to Dark (under Settings -> Personalization -> Colors). If I switch back to Light theme, the font colors show correctly in TB.
FYI the background colors seem to work properly with both Light/Dark themes of the operating system.
It would be greatly appreciated if this issue can be resolved soon.

Arrows for replied and forwarded messages seem to disappear when account colors is on. They appear again when I unable account colors.
I am using the default theme.
This problem was caused by the Phoenity Buttons add-on conflicting with Account Colors.

Working fine for me again now with the 12.1 fix.
Very nice to be able to make Thunderbird look in a way that works for me.
