It has a problem with the "custom buttons add-on". Whenever a custom button is on a toolbar Menu Wizard will not show the properties of an item or menu when clicked on the properties icon...

This add-on is *effective*. All items seem to sort properly, without glitches in my testing.
The main problem is the GUI is not practical, when there are many context menu items to sort.
It relies on click & drag to rearrange menu items. First, it is too easy to unintentionally move an item into a folder-style menu group. So this causes the user to naturally decrease his dragging speed.
Then it becomes worse, because once you reach the limits of the visible window, dragging speed becomes incredibly slow. If you extend your dragging motion out, you can get bursts of dragging speed. But practically, your fingers and wrists will be strained when using this GUI over a period of time.
It takes an incredibly long time to rearrange menu's with lots of items to sort.
A more practical GUI would decrease the size of items to prevent off-screen problems. Perhaps buttons can be added which send selected context menu items up & down with good speed.

This add-on just gets better and better ..... removes all the trash, ads and bothersome bits of any page.

This addon is really nifty, I like it a lot.
However, there is a bug that is just a little to annoying to just live with it:
After a while having it active, the font-color in all menus changes to a gray that makes it really hard to read on the black background.
I tried
font-color: #66780D;
and
color: #66780D;
in the CSS-Style config for each menu, but it isn´t accepted. Shouldn´t be necessary anyway to do that.
Additional information for the developer:
I dont use the CSS feature otherwise.
System: Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit
Firefox: no modifications other than several addons.
Potentially conflicting installed addon: Tabmix Plus (has menu editing, too).
Otherwise, great addon!

You can perform so many things with this add-on that it's truly amazing.
For instance I've read several Firefox users complaining that no shortcut key was assigned to the Reader View Mode. Well, with menu Wizard it's a breeze :
Menu Wizard options / Menu Bar / View / 'Enter Reader View' / Config (small icon on the left) / Keyboard Shortcuts ... and assign a valid key, et voila!
I've assigned Ctrl+Alt+R and it's true pleasure!
Menu Wizard + Firefox = Tweak^2
Fantastic. And that's just one of the many many things this add-on can perform. Amazing.

可以在右键菜单里直接修改,不用找繁复的附加组件设置,非常方便。本地化也做得很好,osx里的快捷键显示也正确。很好。

I read a review here that says this contains spyware. Rubbish. You can easily look at the code of the addon and there's nothing suspicious. A really great addon. I donated.

This add-on is perfect for creating a shortcut key for adding emails as an event to my calendar.

It's a good add-on and possibly unique of its kind, but...
unfortunately, if you disable it, every customization you might have done, vanishes, that is, modifications are not permanent. This means you have to have it enabled all the time, not a good idea though, since it slows down the (otherwise instant) appearance of context menus. I guess -only guess- that this lag , is due to the fact that every right-click passes through this add-on, which thing, (provided that my guess is correct), is neither appealing nor desirable, for quite understandable reasons...

Since the version of Firefox 48.0 moved context menu items at the next start of Firefox are back on the previous original position.
I want to "1.7.1 Context Bookmarks" move the "Bookmark" from the addon to the top position of "context menu for websites".

I love this plugin. But it doesn't work well with KeyCue (http://www.ergonis.com/products/keycue/) and makes Firefox crash whenever I try to activate KeyCue via keyboard shortcut. Probably because it goes through the menus to build the cheat sheet.

I really missed having any control over menus when the Menu Editor extensions stopped being developed several years ago. There was nothing around that was able to take its place ..... that was until Menu Wizard came along.
Not only does Menu Wizard provide a modern working alternative to Menu Editor, it way exceeds it in terms of functions and ease of use.
The old Menu Editor could only rearrange or hide menu items, but it could not rename any of them (which was really annoying). Also the interface for arranging the menu items was completely abstracted from the real menu itself, and often menu items added by extensions would appear in places in the Editor window that had no bearing on their real position.
None of those problems exist with Menu Wizard. The Editor page is clearly laid out in identical format to the actual menus and, even better, you can edit the menus in-place from within the application itself (without even having to open Menu Wizard's Options page).
I don't like the look of the 'Configure This Menu' and 'Show All' buttons in all my menus, but fortunately they can easily be turned on or off. This means that you can have all the ease of use and advantage of editing your menus in-situ, but then still have clean looking menus (with no unwanted extra menu edit icons) when you've finished editing. If later on you find another menu that you wish to edit, simply toggle on the 'Edit This Menu' button, make your changes, and then toggle it off again. Perfect!
I can't think of anything negative about this extension at all. It does everything that I could possibly want with regards to Menu customization.
It's easily one of the most important extensions that I use, and it's great that Menu Wizard works just as well in Thunderbird as it does Firefox.
I can't use either program without Menu Wizard, things are just way too cluttered and disorganized.
Give it a try. It really is excellent.

Finally, a tool to help with rebinding of keyboard shortcuts! Particularly useful when multiple extensions installed all competing for shortcuts attention.
Wishlist: 1. Would be very useful to have an "Unbind all" option. 2. Would be great to have a option to unbind/reassign an existing shortcut when trying to assign one that's already assigned.

Perfect replacement for 'Menu Edit'!
P.S. The problem of Evernote web clipper context menu has disappeared somehow.
