JohnC, I hope you realise how arrogant you sound. Developers can't just wave a magic wand and suddenly bring about support for the latest version. If anything, reading your irate emails would only slow him/her down.
I've always found this a useful plugin, so hopefully we'll see 5.0 support coming in the not-too-distant future.

Looking forward to Fox 5.0 support!!
This is an essential part of my browser - I use many times per session. I'd pay good money for this...put a donation button on your page. :-)

Excellent! I used duplicate tab in IE all of the time, but was forced away from IE9 by the loss of the search box (the combined search/URL box is very inconvenient).

I just wanted something to re-merge windows (to tabs all in the same window). This works great on FF 3.5.9

On my GNU/Linux installation, Firefox 4.0b8pre's process wouldn't terminate correctly out of having this add-on. It might be a conflict of sorts, but I'm not quite sure yet. My other add-ons enabled at the time were AdBlock, LastPass, NoScript, Omnibar (RDF-edited), Remove Tabs (RDF-edited), Status-4-evar, Stylish (RDF-edited), and Undo Closed Tabs Button. Otherwise, it does exactly what it says, and I'd love to see this problem fixed. Cheers!

Devs must be blind, this feature has been set to wontfix, i suggest people wanting this by default in the browser should comment in that bug or create a new feature request in bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455722

Why this isn't built into FF by default I'll never understand. It is in every single major browser. Thanks for fixing this hole. Works great, very light.

The Alt+Enter on the url doesn't actually duplicate the tab completely, just the current url with GET parameters.
If you got to the current page via a POST form (eg. one that does something you wouldn't want to repeat or has a permanent effect), or want to keep the history for the duplicated tab in the new window, Alt+enter doesn't help you.
How much of the state does this extension duplicate? I'm going with Tab mix plus instead... (sometimes I use Opera browser too, which has a lovely duplicate tab function you can bind to any key/menu that keeps everything about the tab)

>>F6 alt+Enter does the same thing
>>Built in, yes. But you need three key strokes and two hands for it instead of you one click...
You can dot this even easier - holding CTRL key down and moving tab with mouse where ever you want it. Anyway, I agree that this is very useful since I need this functionality all the time.
P.S. "Merge windows" option is awesome, but I find it almost unusable since most of the time I do not need tabs from all windows merged.

Good job. Any chance you can add more features, like the old Tab Clicking Options or Multizilla tabs had?

> f the URL in the address bar is highlighted (shortcut for that is F6), pressing Alt+Enter will duplicate it. There's no need for that part of this add-on, it's built in.
Built in, yes. But you need three key strokes and two hands for it instead of you one click... So this is very useful extension. If only it would also duplicate the tabs history too.

If the URL in the address bar is highlighted (shortcut for that is F6), pressing Alt+Enter will duplicate it. There's no need for that part of this add-on, it's built in. I haven't used the other features, but they sound useful.

This is the only workable duplicating-tab addon for SeaMonkey 2.0.6. And if you disable "Display context menu items in Duplicate Tab submenu" and its subsidiary in the option of this addon, you will get a more concise menu.

Great to have this one supporting current Firefox - I've been tweaking the version number in "Duplicate Tab" for a while now.
Thanks!
