I've been waiting for this addon since the launch of Firefox 3. Is it really so difficult to make it compatible with F3?

For the sake of humanity does anyone know if this will ever be compatible with v3.5.2?!
This is one of my most used add-ons. If it's not going to be compatible does anyone know of another add-on that can duplicate the current tab via a shortcut key? It's "almost" worth going back to IE for... since it's BUILT INTO it by default.

eulea, Just click on the link that says "Telecharger ce fichier" (Download the file), and you should be good.
I love this thing. =)

Kyodev, This is fine for those who read French. I do not however and so I can't do this and so not know if it will work with a MAC. Thanks for the effort in updating this to 3.5 though.

PLEASE! update this addon. This is my favorite addon and I miss this functionality.
Why isn't this a core feature of firefox?

just to echo the comments from others who are running ff3.5 and found that this great extension no longer works there.
Really looking forward to future compatibility.

I really hope this gets an update for the latest Firefox.
I loved the simplicity and utility of Duplicate Tab.
I've moved to Tab Kit for the moment, which is very clever but almost TOO much.
Fingers crossed ...

I love this extension but I can't get it to work when I try to change so it works with FF 3.5.
I followed the guide at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility.
But it say that Installation script is missing -204.
Can someone help or upload a working version please.

Glad to get this working again!!
A couple of points to add re using this with v3.5:
* When editing the install.rdf file make sure you edit the '' value under the '' section, and not the 'Seamonkey' section like I first did...
* The installation xpi file can be downloaded from the developer's site by right clicking the 'Install' button and saving.

Excellent add-on!
But, please, update it to the latest version...
"Ignore version check" doesn't help.

It seems like this is built-in in Firefox v3.5, but it doesn't have the hotkey.

Open install.rdf in notepad and find
2.0a1pre
Change it to something higher or equal to 3.5 (eg)
4.0

"- edit the install.rdf file so is something like 3.6."
What? This is the critical part of the tweak and I have no idea what you said.

Not available in 3.5?
This is one of the best and most useful tools in Firefox. I use it all the time. Please update it for 3.5.
Thank you

(Thanks for the ctrl+drag tip! This may become unnecessary if I can retrain myself.)
To make Duplicate install in Firefox 3.5:
- download the .xpi, rename it as .zip
- edit the install.rdf file so is something like 3.6.
- Replace the install.rdf file with your edited copy
- rename the .zip file back to .xpi
- drag the .xpi into an open Firefox window.
It worked for me in both Linux and Windows.

Thanks for advice adinas. I used this addon to couple with keyconfig to clone tabs with keys Ctrl + Shift + T. I've now managed to do this via Add a New Key option using code gBrowser.duplicateTab(gBrowser.mCurrentTab);
