Marvellous add-on, I find it very useful. However, I have encountered the same problem as creib. Sometimes a tab becomes disabled, by which I mean that clicking on it doesn't focus the tab and it refuses to close. I've disabled image tweak for now, waiting eagerly for an update that hopefully fixes this annoying bug.

Finally, after disabling all add-ons, I have reactivated all, one by one (or more precisely two by two) starting with ImageTweak and the bug has mysteriously disappeared! --- (I remind you what was the original problem: "since the last update (version 0.22), it is impossible to close the first tab") --- Now, there is no problem.

Unfortunately the latest update 0.22 conflicts with the Easy DragToGo addon. It prevents me to drag the image in the page in order to automatically save it.So i had to rollback to previous version 0.21 which works fine.Other than that, this addon has been for all these years one of my essential addons for my Firefox browser. But i do hope the developer take notice of this small problem and fix it in an upcoming update if it is possible.4/5 from me for now.

thanks for this great addon

Love it, works great. The only thing I'd like to see is a single left-click to zoom/unzoom, like normal FF behavior.

Really great addon. There's only one thing I would like to see fixed:
I can't scroll horizontally with my mouse/touchpad. It keeps scrolling vertically. You can check the direction by comparing event.axis with event.VERTICAL_AXIS, see https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Gecko-Specific_DOM_Events#Determining_the_scroll_direction
Additionally, you could maybe add an option to invert scrolling direction when pressing shift.
>I can't scroll horizontally with my mouse/touchpad. It keeps scrolling vertically.
I have (hopefully) fixed horizontal scrolling in 0.21.
>Additionally, you could maybe add an option to invert scrolling direction when pressing shift.
Why would you need that?

Yeap this extension is a must have for me, it has some very cool features and i like it a lot, but for me it was not perfect yet so some more things could be fixed or make it better like:
# This about:config option "extensions.imagetweak.legacyscrolling" should be an normal option IMO.
# It should be possible to define the amount of % of zoom it does per zoom step something like 50% at each zoom step, so the behavior was something like this, start at 100% of zoom, 1 + zoom so the zoom was now 150%, 1 more zoom step and now the zoom was 200% and so on and so on.
# The option "Place image at top left" its not working, at least with version 3.6.12 of Firefox and even with a clean profile without any others extensions.
# I don't know if it was possible or not, but if it is it's nice to have an option to the zoom do not do the normal AA they do.
# And finally i like to see an option for the image do not get centered, i wold like to have the image on left side like the Firefox do in the default behavior.
Anyway i rate this extension whit a 5* because it sure deserves that! ;-)
Many Thanks!
# This about:config option "extensions.imagetweak.legacyscrolling" should be an normal option IMO.
It was a difficult decision to take, but for the sake of consistency with the firefox UI I had to do it. In 0.22 that preference will be available in the pref window.
# It should be possible to define the amount of % of zoom it does per zoom step something like 50% at each zoom step, so the behavior was something like this, start at 100% of zoom, 1 + zoom so the zoom was now 150%, 1 more zoom step and now the zoom was 200% and so on and so on.
I think multiplicative zoom is better, but if more people ask for it I'll do it.
# The option "Place image at top left" its not working, at least with version 3.6.12 of Firefox and even with a clean profile without any others extensions.
Place image at top left by design won't work unless the image is bigger than the window.
# I don't know if it was possible or not, but if it is it's nice to have an option to the zoom do not do the normal AA they do.
This will be available in 0.22 by pressing the 'p' key
# And finally i like to see an option for the image do not get centered, i wold like to have the image on left side like the Firefox do in the default behavior.
Why would you like it better that way?

I instantly loved ImageTweak. This should be the default behavior in Firefox (as it is in Opera), and the additional options make it even better. No bloat, just a a simple, effective and absolute must-have add-on.

Make image at center, I like it.
I'm using Easy DragToGo extension at the same time, here is the problem: When I drag a large image(larger than the screen) to get a whole view, Easy DragToGo will work, this really confuse me. Could you block this in image view mode?

Awesome addon! Much better than very limited built-in features (if there are any at all).

Great ! But, always failling when working on Google Maps with FireFox 3.5:
When using mouse to move maps, a "square piece" of google maps is automaticaly cathed as selected image. And so, there is no way to "travel the world" by google maps.
(Strange because this add-on works so fine with Google Maps when using Firefox 2.0.0.20)
ImageTweak was never meant to work in such a way - and it actually suprises me that you tell me it ever did. I think there are other etensions that do that (CustomizeGoogle comes to mind, maybe others) are you sure that you didn\'t have them installed back then?

I cannot install this as it says it is not a compatible extension with FireFox 3.5.3. I love this extension but with the most recent Firefox udate it broke.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.18.1).Sorry, there was a tiny error in one of the configuration files that under certain circumstances would prevent the extension from installing on 3.5.*.
I just uploaded a new version 0.18.2 that fixes it. As soon as is reviewed, you can download it. (If you don't want to wait, rename the .xpi file to .zip, open it, extract install.rdf and open it with a text editor, find the the line containing the tag maxVersion and change its content from 3.2a1pre to 3.6a1pre, save it and overwrite the install.rdf within the zip archive, close the zip and rename it to .xpi, open the .xpi in firefox)

Just hold the "Ctrl" key while dragging the image.

I 2nd what Deleted User said:
"I would like to see drag & drop image saving (to desktop etc) implemented just like in the original firefox display screen. Thanks for that great add on!"

Why can't you simply have the image centred with a background of your choice and leave the default zoom options with Firefox?
I am aghast that you left this obvious feature out and decided on an over complicated design of your own. Could have been a great addon.
The zoom option with this addon does not operate with a laptop mouse. FAIL.
If you set enabled zoom types to "Full" and "1:1" in the options and you double-click on the image, it will behave exactly as firefox did. Beside, you can also use the keyboard keys 1 to 4 to achieve the same effect (read more about that in the online help) or you can use the +/- keys to zoom in or zoom out. I use it on my laptop every day and yet I prefer it over the firefox standard behaviour. Your choice, anyway.\r\nBest regards.

It's cool but it doesn't work well with the scroll pad of the Logitech MX Air. It zooms out to infinity whenever I use that mouse! My laser mouse works well though and besides we can't really call that a bug anyway. :P Good work!

First, the good =)
1) Customizable image view background color
2) Can move image W/arrow & mouse
Now, the bad =(
1) Always snaps back 2 original image size whenever U relocate the image - so retarded (but there is a workaround - install 'Page Zoom' & use that 2 resize the image instead of this retarded 'ImageTweak' plugin 2 do so =)
2) Insane upside-down scrolling defaults. Oh yes, when I push the up arrow I want the image 2 move DOWN?!?! WTF?!?! Get a grip man - wow
So, fix those 2 things & it'll B kewl.
I also have 'Image Zoom' installed, but it doesn't override your crap snap-back nonsense.

Get a grip man - wow\r\n\r\nThe one that should get a grip isn\'t me: if you bothered to read the manual, you\'d know that there\'s a preference that inverts the keyboard navigation.\r\nAnd BTW, try pressing the down arrow on any webpage... in which direction do all elements on the page go? Yep, that\'s right: _UP_
