There is an encoding issue in version 2.1. If I create a template with non-ascii characters (czech in my case) and reopen thunderbird then these characters are broken. I use TB 68.0b1.

Great extension. The only one I actually use in Thunderbird. Real time saver.

How to reset the COUNTER
If you want to reset the COUNTER, you can do this in the Thunderbird preferences.
Open the "Preferences" (Unix) or "Options" (Windows) interface. On the "Advanced" page, select the "General" tab then click the "Config Editor" button.
Then search for "extensions.quicktext.counter" entry.
The value shows the current state of the counter.
Double-click the entry and change the value to 0.

the MOST useful extension on email client, in this case optimizes a lot of time, would be great to see script code examples more often, can optimize a lot with JS

Quicktext has been one of the most used addons for our company for many years.
But there is a missing feature for a very long time:
- Drag-n-drop sorting for the templates
When will the sorting of the templates finally work again?

Not sure if this is the appropriate place for my plea :)
We so depend on Quick Text... it's the best add-on ever for our business. But it won't work with the latest version of Thunderbird :(
Is anyone going to update it ? We're all defiantly refusing to update Thunderbird in the meantime.... Please Help !!!! Thanks :)
It works with TB 60.4.0. Please file a bug, if that is not the case for you at:

Sort your templates using a workaround:
I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this, but I created a little XSLT file that will sort your templates if you export them to XML. Afterwards, you can re-import the sorted templates. You're free to use it if you find it useful. https://github.com/RayCulp/XSLT-to-sort-Quicktext-XML/blob/master/README.md

works here like a charm! must have!
• specially well done: integration of the clipboard. BTW: would it also be possible to have selected text like [[SELECTED]] included?
• small downer: the alt-number shortcuts don't work: all alt- combinations are used by the system (I have a foreign keyboard) ... One should have more options like alt-shift alt-cmd and so on
