Great add-on, only has 1 issue:
Blocking of duplicate password-prompts also blocks messages such as those related to blocked website pop-ups.

Update:
Indeed the yellow pop-up example: http://www.popuptest.com/popuptest3.html

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.16.1.1-signed).

Are you referring to the yellow "popup" on to of the page?

Any websites to test it on?

I'm confronted to a strange little problem :
If I find myself on a page for which I have log-in credentials and if at the same time I have not logged in to Master Password and disabled notification to do so, then I lose focus of the Web page just as if a hidden notification pop-up was getting that focus. Now at this point I ignore if it is related to my system or not. A bit bothering, moreover if I have another user on the computer and wish that sites for which I have a login be not revealed ...
Has anyone else experienced this issue ?

Does stuff that should be built in to Firefox. However doesn't hide the titlebar if you're using an add-on that changes it (eg. Customize Titlebar https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/customize-titlebar/)

Options -> Security -> uncheck "Use a master password"

Comprehensive handling of TB/FX master password functionality. Very useful for the privacy/security conscious user, particularly if others can easily access your desktop when you step away.

Awesome, is it possible do not ask for password if I restart Thunderbird?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.16.1.1-signed).

Sorry, no, not possible. The password is not stored anywhere, therefor after restart application looses any references to it and require user's input.

Love this addon. I have this idiot porn addicted roommate who was having problems with java chat booting him every 5 minutes on some shitty gay website he spends all his freetime on, and some people there suggested to use Firefox instead of IE, and I told him he couldn't use Firefox because that was MY browser and I had everything set up how I like it, and he should use Chrome instead. Well he went and used Firefox anyway and added all these bookmarks and crap and even rearranged my toolbars. Needless to say I was pissed off so I searched around and found this nice add-on here, and installed it. Haven't had issues with him fucking up Firefox since lol.

Very nice. It works with FF 8.01 and with secure login in my case.

One additional nice thing would be to autologout when firefox is minimized. If thats already implemented, it is not working on OSX.

OMG!!! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for... Everyone on the forums was telling me that I needed to use some OS technique or other software to password protect Thunderbird, but this does it PERFECTLY - with all of the settings that you can choose. I find the exit if master password is cancel the most VITAL option for me :). Thank you! GREAT addon :)

This addon is absolutely necessary due to Firefox's extremely annoying master password UI. Every time I start Firefox, Sync steals focus and fires a modal master password prompt without even telling why, and this is by design! Master Password+ gets rid of them. Not 5 stars because it doesn't work well with Secure Login (need to reload page) and because the "Lock" hotkeys cannot be disabled.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.16.1.1-signed).

The hotkeys can be disabled by removing them (focus on the field and press a single key)

I use Thunderbird at work and we have only one account that is used for many people.
How can I use this extension in Thunderbird to password protect the inbox and sentbox from deleting. Something like setting admin password and user password.

I've been looking for a way to hide the passwords in firefox for quite a while with no luck, which really surprises me. Sadly, this was no solution either. It has the same problem as a similar add-on called "secure login" so I will just copy what I wrote there:

the add-on is good but you can still see all the passwords in firefox very easily. If you log on to a site and go to Tools-options-passwords, it will allow you (the first time at least) to see the website names and usernames without the need to introduce your master pass. You just have to right click on the username and press 'copy' to get the password, it's that simple.
This could be perfect if that small detail were working. Also, I would love an option that simply prevented anyone from seeing my firefox passwords (and websites+usernames) unless you introduce the master pass but ONLY for that, I mean, I don't want to have to introduce my password at all, not even the first time I open my browser, I just want to make my passwords invisible without a pass. Could you implement that feature? then it would be a perfect add-on.

This will never be possible with master password, you'll need another extension for that. Master password is not just an annoyance that asks for password, it encrypts protected content. Application does not store it anywhere, so without it it can't decrypt the content, therefor it will require user's input at least once per session.

There is a small bug. Start Firefox. Go to a site with login page. The info-bar will appear to show that login info is available for autofilling. Do any activity in the login input field. Then login to password manager.

Expected behaviour: while user is typing login name Firefox shows suggestions based on the saved login info.

Present behaviour: auto suggestion doesn't work on the current page.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.15.4.1-signed).

First of all, the info bar shows that the prompt was blocked, not that login info available. And secondly, this is expected behavior, because as explained in the extension description blocked prompt is equal as if user clicked cancel button. Try disable this extension and when master password prompt showed, hit cancel button, then start typing in login form, you'll see the same behavior.

I was looking for some points to deduct a star, but currently i can't find them. Its a really nice and usefull addon.

Just one thing: when using thunderbird, and i have set ask password at startup it looked to me like TB got hung up when it tried installing new update (just disabeled it for one start then and its fine)

Unfortunately I don't know any way make MP+ execute before anything else, therefor it's possible that MP prompt window showed after some other window already showed, which might halt everything until MP is entered.

Very useful.
But I have to disable it due to incompatibility with vimperator.
