I had it with google to the point I wanted to give up using it. Eventualy I found alternative search engines but some times I still use it (for now).
Everytime I sign in to google account, a pop-up modal window was "reminding me" that maybe I want to make google the default seach engine. Well, I don't but every time I click that, it did not matter. It was keep coming back anonying me. This tool, solved that :) Google lost it's way and I hope they don't buy this tool so that it will stay independent.

Was looking for a way to stop the "make google your homepage" popup every time I did a google search. Short of not using google, the only fix I could find (and only via bing .. google evidently censored it) was to install 1st ABP and then Element Helper, then:
1. Go to the google website.
2. Go to 'Select element to hide' from the ABP menu (Ctrl+Shift+F3 [Windows]), then hover your mouse over the whole offensive google popup, so that it's surrounded by a red outline, and click (L mouse).
3. In the 'Compose element hiding rule' window, click the 'Add element hiding rule' button.

Worked a charm! Clicking 'no' on the google popup for most users does not work. It just keeps coming back.

2 minutes to get used to the interface, than you can pinpoint exactly the element you want to hide with this. What I didn't understand at first was that after you select the element with ctrl+shift+f3 than you can navigate the tree in the popup and check/uncheck the properties of parent elements to make the filter more selettive in the css-like manner.

While this is a great and I dare say necessary extension for ABP (extension inception?), I have a question. Why is this not built directly into ABP like the Chrome version?

This add-on does just what it claims. It makes it considerably easier to block ads that aren't on ABP's list yet. (It also works fine with the more aggressive AdBlock Edge.)

I am a bit concerned about the claims that it sends data to its website without users being aware of that. I don't know if that's true or not, but I think the developer should at least respond to one of the reviews wondering about that. (Maybe the dev doesn't speak English...?)

It's such a great supplement to Adblock Plus, and I would highly recommend avoiding using Adblock Plus without this! Besides the nice "click+remove" of any ads, you can also remove other annoyances! I used this to completely block out youtube comments & it's made life so much happier for me. It helps when pesky ads get through the filters, or are aggressive as hell. Thanks so much for this awesomeness.<3

This is the dream adblock addon.
I didn't mean to kill all ads but some information are really annoying (such as Baidu.com)

Please don't get me wrong. I understand that ads are important to keep Internet services free, but some are just annoying (I just get tired with so much pollution!), give me a break! I have used ABP for some time and this is the best add-on. Thank you!

I have given this 5 stars two minutes after installing it for the simple fact that it has enabled me to block all those annoying 'eBbay Suggestion' and other elements that have been cluttering up eBay for years.

Finally, eBay as I want to view it.

When are these companies going to realise that I only want to buy what I want to buy and that they don't actually know what I want?

Only disappointment is that despite that fact that I have used ABP for years, I didn't find this add-on sooner.

Anyway, thanks for a great ABP add-on.
