worked till a few days ago, then after the last mozilla update, the field of the add on is everytime blank. unable to download, unable to recognize anything, i'll give 5 stars when it works again

Not working for me. In the dialog pops up, the download area is still blank. In the developper version, the links are here, but doesn't works. Impossible to download anything. I use this add-on since two years now, but at every updates, there is so many troubles.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.8.3).3.8.9b as of this writing. It should work so long as you're not on one of the "e10" (multi-process) builds/modes. If it doesn't send logs if you can :).

A shame this won't work without flash installed, when's the next version ?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.8.3).At least on youtube.com. I use plain HTML 5 on youtube. If you get a chance try the 3.8.8b beta (scroll to the bottom of the addon page and look for "Developer Channel") if you're having trouble. There's some issues with the Controls dialog right now. I've got it fixed on my test machines but I want to get some feedback before I try another launch since what works for me didn't work for everyone else in 3.8.6 :P.

this morning, it stopped working...just get a blank.
however, still the best downloader ever...probably needs to be updated. thanks for this excellent downloader.

This is by far the best downloader to create MP3s that I have used. What makes it stand out is the clipping tool which is so easy and simple to use.

Not working for me. The dialog pops up as it should but now there are ads running along the top of the dialog box and where the download links are that whole area is now blank. The image for the download is present, the info about the vid is there on the left side but yea, no links to download. I've tried this with various vids to see if there is a change but all of a sudden no matter what vid I try I get that right side where the download links are supposed to be is now blank! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.8.3).Found the issue (there was a change in how FF handles document references to the opening window). This is fixed in the development channel. You can install it from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-mp3-podcaster/ (it's at the very, very bottom of the page, click "Development Channel" to expand the section and you can install it). I'll have it in the mainline in a few weeks :).

I real love this add since i try to put podcasts on my mp3player,but after a it wouldn't let me download them at all it's just straight blank.Maybe is just me begin silly but it has been an issue for me

This would be the best add on if the panel came up to change the bit rate to 320kbps great work hopefully it gets fixed
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.8.3).Hi, the reason I top out at 320kbps is that's currently the highest bit rate you'll see on youtube. The conversion software (ffmpeg) that makes the MP3 can't "increase" the bit rate from the original video/audio so even if we try setting it higher you still see the original bit rate :)

Gives me O bytes after download is finished. Is there a fix? Thanks, I have been using this for years.

The latest version fixes the 0 sized file issue a lot of us have been having on FF 42.
Thank you Jeremy for making this plugin and for your continued development on it.
I tried about 5 other plugins and this is by far the best one for downloading video and audio.

Easy to get mp3 (when it works) I am sure its not easy to code and update this add-on, but this is by far the best! Even if his app add-on development stops I cant thank this guy enough for the many songs hes allowed me to add to my playlist. Happy to donate his request. Thank you tons from 1 IT Engineer to another.

This user has a previous review of this add-on.Mozilla's editors review new versions of the plugin before posting non-beta versions because there are binaries (ffmpeg, the MP3 tagger app, etc). It's probably 2-3 weeks out judging by the queue, which is why Mozilla supports beta channels.

This should be working. I'm running 42.0b3. Could you try uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin from About:config and if that still fails enable logging as described in my help page here: http://glimmersoft.com/podblog/youtube-mp3-podcaster-help/

This is the only add-on with an actual download button, I love it.
It would be useful if you could set a default download location and default file-type. I only use it to download YouTube music in .mp3, so that would save me a click and an "Enter", but I might just be lazy :p
edit: if the video is part of a playlist, the title of the .mp3 is set to the name of that playlist. This is not that big of a deal, but some music players show the title instead of the file name. This can be confusing if a lot of the mp3's are from the same playlist.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
