I am getting 2 master password windows when starting firefox. Addons that require passwords are probably fire.fm and weave. i already tried reinstalling StartupMaster with no success.

jehjeh5, my bad, there is a problem with it after editing the RDF. That method works most of the time, but not in this case with the final 3.0

I only use this add-on with Thunderbird. It appears that the author bumped the install up to 3.0a1, which of course is now out of date. Edit the INSTALL.RDF file and change max to 3.* which will install fine, and works as expected. Hopefully the author will update it soon.

Does anyone know if this is now working correctly with TB3? Also can it be used to protect only TB3 and allow people to use Firefox without needing a password. I am trying to protect my email but allow others to use Firefox.

Thanks

Helpful workaround for the FF bug/feature that motivated this. Needs to be updated to account for new extensions/services, as others have mentioned, e.g., Weave.

Excellent! This is exactly what I was looking for. This should be built-in.

Thanks for the extension.

5 for functionality.

Just What I needed. But after installing Weave I started to get two password prompts again. Can you fix that? Thanks!

I also find interesting the integration of the addon with MinimizeToTray!!

A tip. The increase could have the option to minimize to a tiny window in the same way that the addon "Panic Button". Require password when it was minimized to the tray with the "MinimizeToTray"

As discussed below, the supplement still has some bugs. But I applaud the initiative, because long ago I've been an extension to my firefox protect against third parties.

I hope the extension will improve more and THANK YOU.

works good...

this add-on can be bypassed in two methods..
1.) one is the safe mode method as mentioned in the add-on itself..
2.) Try opening firefox two or more times fastly and the passowrd is asked only in the first and other new firefox are opening normally that way the password is bypassed could be a major bug ...

please improve this add-on ... i love to have a protected FF . May be FF main team should implement it within the core instead of a pluigin

Seems to be working just fine in 3.5.5 in my install. Echofon and FireFound both require passwords. Try removing StartupMaster and reinstalling it to see if it fixes the issue.

Was great while it lasted but it's BROKEN SINCE v3.5.5, even if this is the only addon enabled.

if you open firefox twice quickly by accident there is no need to enter the password, it over-rides it and opens firefox twice with no password needed, redeeming this useless but otherwise its good.

PLEASE FIX!!!!

This is a godsend! I always have many tabs open, quite a few are usually authenticated - before this addon I had to enter in my master password too many times to count. I'd give this 10 stars if I could - this keeps me from moving to a different browser! Thank you very much.
