Two clicks and a restart of Firefox and it's installed and working. So far, it appears to be spot on.

There is no "add ons" in the tools menu! what a load of rubbish. Reluctantly going back to Outlook.

Finally but finally it has installed! Thanks to alienfromzog. I followed his instructions twice with no success but 3rd time lucky.

It isn't compatible with current Thunderbird - don't bother downloading.
Mozilla should warn users that the new version doesn't have a dictionary yet so they can delay updating. Very irritating

I have what Thunderbird says is the latest version viz. 2.0.0.14 (20080421) but STILL the dictionary will not load, even after following the instructions given by "Alienfromzog".

"How to Install" is useless - after step 2 there is no "Install" button, so it cannot be clicked.

I have repeatedly sought to install this dictionary in Thunderbird, never successfully. Though I receive a message that the dictionary was installed, I receive no prompt to restart Thunderbird. When I have restarted, the US dictionary option is the only one which displays. (The dictionary does work with Firefox, but naturally I am more concerned with spell checking my own email.)

Installing is actually really easy just not well explained.
1. Download the add-on to your desktop.
2. Open the Add-on's window from Tools on the Menu bar
3. Simply drag-and-drop the download into the Add-on's window
4. When instructed restart Thunderbird.
