Mike Krieger,

I found it, but what I was really trying to do is convert an address book (text) to a mailing list.

Thanks much,

Rob Leigh

Great idea, and I would like to use it. Unfortunately it's not compatible with MoreFunctionsForAddressBook.

This is exactly what I needed: very useful for managing large address books. Hope will be updated to the forthcoming TB3...

I love this, it really saves me a ton of time when fixing email address or adding a new vcard.

Should be in the base product - excellent addon

Nice idea, but can't create list from bcc recipients of a note I sent.

Right-click on a mail and enter that into a new adrress item does this:

First name:
=?iso-8859-1?Q?firstname_lastname?=

Last name:
=?iso-8859-1?Q?firstname_lastname?=

The mail address is entered correctly.

Wouldn't it be much nicer if it were possible to mark the text in a mail that contains contact data and right-click to create a complete contact in which all fields are filled correctly? There are tools for Outlook that can do this :-)

Nice tool!
It saved me a lot of time.
One suggestion for improvement: ability to add to an existing list, instead of always having to create a new one.

Here's how I used addresscontext recently. (1) Placed a classified for some free Mac G3's on Craigslist. (2) Added a label to each person to responded. (3) Went into Thunderbird and selected the label to view the 12 interested people. (4) Selected them all, right clicked and used this extention to add them to a single list. (5) Email them all in one fell swoop.

Doing it this way saved at least 30 minutes for this small list. Imagine what you can do if you put your Gmail in Thunderbird and run a few filters on your old email...

It would GREAT if it WORKED! Just what I was looking for, but I can't find any way to get my Thunderbird mail to make coherent lists. They are all jumbled and it takes hours to fix them. Some addresses work, some don't.

This extension is great but I encounter a problem when I configure a LDAP server.
When I do the "look up" function, I have an error message because the extension wants to loook in the LDAP instead of in the local address book.
Any chance to fix that ?
Thanks

How do I contact the developer?

Right Click on an email address followed by selecting "Look up in address book" does NOTHING for me. How do I fix this?

This is perfect! If you were an outlook user, you were used to right-clicking on contact to open detail (card) view.
Why this is not standard in Tbrid is a mystery as emails and addressbook are very 'disconnected'.

This addon takes care of that and other mailing list functions related to addresses!

Thank you!
Only area of improvement might be in context documentation with tooltips and suggestions

These additions are so basic it is hard to believe these were not default menu options.
