good work except Tasks - they disappear after 1-2 seconds after loading.

So many poeple with an Android device make use of Google Calendar. So why not get easy access to it from your Windows computer? Making it pop up as a side effect of checking your mails in Thunderbird is the ultimate idea.
Thank you so much! Had been using "Google Calendar Tab for years until Mozilla decided to change s.th. by introducing TB 60, which did no longer allow this great trick. Emmanuel Roecker found a way to reactivate it by programming "Open Google Calendar". so: 5 Stars only because there are no more.

UPDATE Jan 28 2019:
If Thunderbird cookie settings are set to refuse cookies, you must add an exception for https://calendar.google.com ! A simple exception for the entire google.com domain does NOT work! Once I did this, the Open Google Calendar v1.4 extension works as promised: i.e., it opens my Google calendar account in a Thunderbird tab.

Original rating 1, with review below:

Doesn't work with Thunderbird 64 bit v.65.03b
returns error from Google:
"400. That’s an error from Google:

The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know."
==========
I will upgrade review when extension starts working.

I use this add-on for years. First "Google calendar Tab", now "Open Google Calendar", but I still have the same problem:
Every day, when I open the calendar for the first time, I have to input my google-e-mail-adress and my google-passwort.
Is there no possibility, that the calendar opens without this procedure?
This is the only reason, why I dont give five stars

This isn't working at all for me. I click the icon and nothing happens. If I got to options it asks for URL, but then nothing.

Unfortunately, this does not work for me. It asks for authentication details every time Thunderbird starts.

Not only does this bring Google Calendar tab back to TB 60.* it fixes some of the minor annoyances there were with the now abandoned GCT add-on, so it's an improvement, not just a replacement. Merci pour cela, Emmanuel!

Does what it is supposed to: Enablement of the google calendar tab extension on Thunderbird 60!

Some remarks though:
- The "Open Google calendar in a Thunderbird tab" icon is a wee bit big and makes the toolbar unnecessarily bigger in height
- Support for Thunderbird beta (currently 64.*) would be great (however, I guess this extension would have to be converted to the newer webextension format)...

Was shocked this morning to find Google Calendar Tab disabled and apparently abandoned by the author. My pain was quickly gone when I found this kind fellow's replacement. Worked like a charm, just the the original. "Lightning" is simply horrid, like it's 1996 or something, and is not a viable alternative.

Thank you!! This works great. Thunderbird was updated and I lost my google calendar, but now it is back. Google calendar is essential for my scheduling. Perfect!! A+!
