Excellent, lightweight, convenient feed reader. Couldn't ask for a better interface or a smoother experience. Thank you!

this is the best feed reader i have ever used with firefox. but i can't get it to work properly with ff3.6 even to it's stated that it's capable of doing so. it just doesn't display properly.
am i the only one with this problem?
See bug#20801(https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=20801). This AMO version is not stated to work with FF3.6.

To set NewsFox to add feeds when clicking on RSS icon, here's the labels to click in Linux Firefox 3.0.10:
Edit::Preferences::Applications::Web Feed::---> Use NewsFox
Cheers! :D

Overview link says: "By choosing 'Newsfox' in the 'Feeds' panel of Firefox options(preferences)..."
My Ffox does not have a "Feeds" panel in the Preferences/Options pane. :(

I have tried other FireFox RSS readers but they just don't cut it. This is the best one. It is easy to use and does what I want it to do.

More powerful than any RSS reader I tried, including several stand-alone. Recommended to those who want to implement complex retention/deletion policies.

It's a nice extension and it's exactly what I've been looking for, but it freezes Firefox when it's refreshing all the feeds. It freezes on feeds that have lot of articles(Digg,Engadget etc.)
I literally have to wait till it refreshes all my feeds as it locks up Firefox :(
Please fix this.

I thought at first it looked like a good extension; it isn't. Why?
The top group titled "feeds" will not permit me to organize my feeds into groups without creating an entirely different group below it just to put them into categories. Having two sets of identical feeds, one in a general listing, and the other in my own organizational structure isn't the way to do things.
I have a large number, and wading through a nearly-endless list does not rank very high on my list of favorite things to do. So this turned me off entirely on the extension.
Then, when I uninstalled it, disaster struck.
It took all of my extensions and themes with it. I can't began to state how ticked off I was.
In hindsight, I see what happened. When you install it, it creates (by default) a folder within your profile to save settings and RSS feed locations. Well, logical, right?
Not when it takes the entire profile folder with it when you uninstall NewsFox. Brilliant piece of engineering, guys. *sarcastic*
If it were possible to give this a negative rating, I would have done so.

Very good news reader.
Just a little feature request, instead of "Refresh all streams when starting", there should be an option "Refresh all streams when starting if they are older than the automatic frequency of refresh".
"Refresh all streams when starting" is a legacy option - you don't need it. When you use auto-refresh, streams older than the auto-refresh interval will automatically be checked when starting.

Addition does not work in FirefoxPortable 3.0.5... Also it is very a pity.
Import failed: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520001
(NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH) [nsIFileProtocolHandler.getFileFromURLSpec]" nsresult:
"0x80520001 (NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH)" location: "JS frame :: chrome ://newsfox
/content/globalfuncs.js :: NFgetProfileDir :: line 138" data: no]
Expansion reinstallation has not helped...
Works fine for me with FirefoxPortable 3.0.5, see https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=20421.

Great reader. Unlike the others, this does its job, and well.
Easy to use, quick, and pretty nice overall.

not compatible with firefox 3.1
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.4.1).Works fine for me with 3.1 beta1. Of course, you need to edit the install.rdf if you're a beta user or don't read the NewsFox feed.

I experienced "wizz", "saze" and some other rss addons. And this is the best! And what's awesome is that it's filter! It works well though I didn't configured it. It's fast, comfort and powerful!
Thanks and best regard to the author!
