There are 2 major drawbacks: no RSS import from other clients and the ability to save tapes in MHT for viewing offline.
Maybe developers fix it?

It was fine,but now its offering BBC news feed after every start. Its so annoin. Stay away from this bad addon!!

It has nothing to do with NewsFox. Check on your Live bookmarks - most probably you have there BBC news feed (maybe added by default by Firefox) and NewsFox just suggest you on a new import. In this case you may tell NewsFox to ignore it to resolve notification issue.

Developers appear to have no intent of fixing the nastiest design bug where Newfox is storing the feed duplicates in FEEDS group, in addition to custom group. This simply ruins an otherwise decent extension.

Dieses AddOn ist wirklich ein gelungene Alternative. Es tut genau das was es soll! Es gibt einem schnell einen auf das wesentliche reduzierten Überblick über die persönlichen Feeds. Darüber hinaus ist es in mehreren Sprachen verfügbar, und bietet eine sinnvolle Gruppierungsfunktion. Es fehlt nicht mehr viel und er ist perfekt und eine echte Konkurrenz zu Feedly, Fever und dem auslaufenden Google Reader ....

I was really upset about Google reader going away but it made me look around for alternatives. Frustrating because what I found were mainly icon/picture based readers that you have to have an account with. Then I accidentally found Newsfox,. I really like it. I just pin it in the browser like I did Google reader. I'm surprised that I have not seen it recommended as a replacement. Maybe it's because I don't want a icon/picture interface just a something quick and easy to keep up on feeds.

Лучший ридер на мой взгляд. Правда, к великому сожалению, с ним Firefox жрёт памяти минимум в 2 раза больше, чем без него или с другим ридером. Может автору стоит организовать сбор средств и на них допилить newsfox до звания лучшего?!

Use the addon in Seamonkey instead of the internal boring feedreader. Works great up to SM 2.14 (FF17).
Now in the next Version it blocks all tabs most at the time if NF gets the Feeds

This makes a great replacement for the feed reader I was using. I only wish for two things - 1) that feeds could be moved to a folder and be in just that folder, and 2) that there was a way to hide already viewed feeds until you wanted them again. Otherwise this add on is fabulous.

I'm a developer (Web and Desktop apps). I have tested many RSS readers, but no one is useful as this! There is a very simple issue with this add-on: supporting RTL languages! Please add RTL and LTR support at general and specific settings for supporting languages like Arabic & Persian. Titles, contents & ... have to be RTL for supporting RTL lnaguages.

Действительно хороший чтец новостей. Довольно удобный. Вот только не могу разобраться - есть ли опция "Показывать только непрочтённые новости". Если нет - сделайте, пожалуйста. Успехов вам.

Всем хорошо дополнение! Еще бы синхронизировался с Google Reader, вообще цены бы ему не было.
Или я что-то просмотрел в настройках?

Sehr übersichtlich und leicht handhabbar. Funktioniert aber leider nicht mit den Feeds der Süddeutschen Zeitung (http://rss.feedsportal.com/795/f/449002/index.rss). Es werden zwar die Themen angezeigt, aber beim Anklicken eines Themas wird die jeweilige Seite nicht angezeigt, sondern das Anzeigefenster bleibt leer. Danach gilt das leider auch für alle anderen Feeds, die vorher einwandfrei angezeigt wurden.Inzwischen habe ich herausgefunden, dass es sich bei dem geschilderten Problem um einen Seiteneffekt von AdBlock Plus handelt. Die Ausnahmeregel @@||feedsportal.com^ löst das Problem.

I have no problem with the feed http://rss.feedsportal.com/795/f/449002/index.rss using either display style of text or web. You could consider opening a bug at http://newsfox.mozdev.org/bugs.html.

Bon lecteur de flux mais son problème est qu'il a toujours un bug. Pour cette version par exemple, il faut s'y reprendre à, au moins, 2 fois pour que les options que vous avez choisies soient mémorisées. Très, très gênant.
