Great extension. Please note that to sort your email accounts you need to go to Tools --> Add-ons --> FolderPane Tools --> Options. Once there, you can move up and down your email accounts.

This add-on ( ver. 0.6) is working fine for me in TB 3.1.7

But there is a better implementation with extension "Manually sort folders" (ver. 0.6.6)
1. Allows for sorting of folders, not just accounts
2. Has same sorting options, but more sort methods
3. Easy to get to sorting in the Tools menu
4. Better GUI, both in look and function

I tried both, and for now "Manually Sort Folders" just does it better

Highlight this with RED color --> "This extension must be configured before use. To open the options window, open the Tools menu, select Extensions, and double-click on the extension."

I spent about 1 hour before figured why it didn't worked

You have a problem with sorting a lot of Thunderbird Accounts?
This extension is what you need! :-)

Just installed Folderpane Tools in Thunderbird 3.1. It was exactly what I was looking for!

I have four active email accounts setup in Thunderbird. The first thing I do every day is to hit my Get All Messages button (Magic SLR). Then, I go through all my accounts from smallest to primary which has the most mail.

Until I installed your extension, I had to first collapse whatever account Thunderbird reopened for me (regardless of how I left things when I exited it). Now, I have it set (using your extension) to open Local folders, which I don't use for much except collecting junk mail, so it's just the way I want it. I was also able to sort the accounts into an order I liked better.

Thank you!

I installed this tool to sort my email accounts and it worked just fine. If you look it up under your add-on after installing it and go to options it is easy to use as you follow the rules mentiond on the download page of this add on by the author. I downloaded the 0.6 Version updated 26th of may and using the Tbird 3.0.4

Yes, this latest version now works, evidently fixing the problem I was having earlier. Thanks much for pointing this out!

Appeared to do exactly what i wanted in version 3.0.3
Created an "Archive" folder and imported last 6 years email from another program. Great having archive located away from core (current) data area.

Would be nice to see addons page updated:
