Very useful! I'm using Color Folders since some time and it definitely helps finding the right folder in a cluttered mail archive... the only issue I have is that it makes the Trash folder appear wih a strange icon (kind of "new folder") -- however the other icons look nicer than the default linux ones (they're actually those used in the default Windows theme, or are very close to that)

Great idea. For some reason the menu option is not available for special folders (Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, etc.) That's actually where it would be useful as I need to manage multiple inboxes.

Hi, I can't get it to work. Right click on a folder and select a color in the sub menu but nothing happens.
Using Thunderbird 24.4.0 and Windows 8.1.

This did not work fully on my Macbook with Thunderbird 24 (Maverick OS). The color tab is greyed out on most folders. I sent a contribution, however, and hope you can help!

Most of the colors on the "other colors" section don't work on a mac running 10.9.2. The folders become white.

Very nice !
I would love the custom icons feature shown in the ToDo list, i would also suggest as feature the possibility to apply a color on a folder AND it's sub folders.

Bug Report : Annoying that when i add a subfolder then its parent folder turn back to the default color, also when i rename a folder then the folder and all its sub folders turn back to the default color. (Win7 64bits - TB 24.3.0)

I am using version 24.2.0 of Thunderbird and version 1.1 of Color folders still does not work for me. The right click menu option is still greyed out.

Thanks for your review.
Color Folders is actually working on my TB 24.2.0 (Windows 64bit).
If you have Account Colors 6.10 installed, please try upgrading it to 6.11 or later.
If not, could you kindly do below steps and post the results here?
Open TB menu -> Tools -> Error Console (alternatively just press ctrl+shift+J)
Click "Filter" box on bottom left and type "colorfolders"
If any error/warning/message left displayed, please copy it and post it here.

This is a nice add-on. New v1.1 however does not work on my Thunderbird v27 Beta 1. Previous version did. Can this be fixed, please?

And then I decide to search for it and there it is!
Thanks a lot.
BTW, how do I access all the colors shown in the image on the home page? I only see a few of those in the "More Colors..." sub-menu.

Works great on 24.2 (see the link a few reviews down)

I love this add-on and I'm so glad it's been updated, finally! It really helps me organize my emails.

Living without this extension has sucked!

I have a TON of mail subfolders! I have created a hierarchy of mail categories, with filters that move every email I receive into the proper folder. If you're like me, you'll find that being able to assign colors to different subfolder categories will make finding the one you need, in a LONG list of folders, faster and easier!

I didn't realize how much I appreciated this extension until it stopped working! SO glad it's back!
