It just solve the problem of change of form ID of a web page. With this addon, editing the saved password is handy!
A good combintation with Secure Login.

I use this add-on all the time and it works great 90% of the time. Just a few sites that don't work right. I left a bug report on the GitHub site. Developer Sir ... please take a look. I know in your program you can specify custom field names for the user and pass to log in, but it seems that your add-on favors the user and pass fields that are brought up by the "Guess From Current Page" button. If I specify any other field than the ones guessed from that button, things don't work right. Other than that, this add-on works great!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have to look for the <input> tag, and the "name=" property???? Or is the the "id=" property ... in order to specify a custom field name (for a site that has an unusual login scheme)?

EDIT: I saw your response ... and apparently it is a Mozilla bug, and not in your code ... 5 stars :-)
Well, okay then. But perhaps in the future you should check for the response *before* posting the review. :-) But thanks for the review.

Excellent! This extension is much needed for Mobile Firefox since it's always harder to manually enter passwords on the phone. Are you planning to do a mobile version? (hopefully that still works in the Maemo build of Firefox which Mozilla abandoned at version 6)
Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (2.2.5.1-signed).SPE depends on an interface (the Saved Passwords window) that does not seem to have any equivalent in Mobile. This will require something entirely different. No guarantees, but I will consider it at least.
EDIT: This is now available as Mobile Saved Password Editor

Makes the stock password manager considerably more useful!

is there a way it can automatically save all passwords used on my computer without it asking me if i want to save it??

But why it doesn't work with https://login.live.com ?
Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (2.2.5.1-signed). Este usuario tiene una valoración anterior de este complemento.Unfortunately, the login form on that page is built completely through scripts, after the browser's autofill has already checked for login forms, and at that point it is too late to convince it to do anything. I cannot do anything about it in SPE, short of turning SPE into a full-fledged password manager in its own right, which I will not do.
It might be possible to work around the problem by using, say, a user script (see the Greasemonkey add-on) to build a substitute login form in time for it to be picked up by autofill. The trouble is that I have no idea what all of those scripts are doing (maybe they don't actually affect how it's submitted, but I'm not sure), and I do not have a Windows Live account, so *if* I were to write a user script, I would need someone who does have an account to help out, for instance by testing. The easiest thing would probably be if I got a trace showing how the form actually gets submitted (with the username, password, etc., censored, of course).
Alternatively, people could convince Microsoft to make the form password manager-friendly, but somehow I don't see that happening: they might well want things this way. Until something like one of the above happens, there's no way anyone will get their password autofilled on that page with the built-in password manager. Sorry.
EDIT: I think a good bet is iMacros for Firefox.

Excellent plugin. Makes Firefox save passwords even on sites where automatic password saver doesn't work.

This add on has saved me a lot of trouble with forgotten user names and passwords.
The icing on the proverbial cake would be if I could rename the add on in the drop-down menu on the tool bar.
It's a shared computer,so it would work for me to rename it.

Really? I tried it, and it worked fine for me, even without the double-click-on-the-username-field workaround. If you'd like help, please contact me through the support email. Explain in detail what you're doing, what you're experiencing, and what you were expecting.

Works perfectly! Where do I vote for it to be included in Firefox' core? Too bad that Firefox doesn't have this functionality out-of-the-box like Google Chrome do.

At first I had trouble figuring out how to use this on sites that don't want to remember passwords (you have to use the "Guess from current page" feature for saving a NEW password , then when you click twice in the Username log in field for the site you want to log in to, it will come up).
Now that I have been hacked I am using stronger passwords and this is great for helping me remember them or pre-filling the username and password for me on sites like Chase bank that Firefox refused to remember!
So well worth downloading if you have a lot of passwords that Firefox won't remember, and once you use it and like it throw a few bucks (at least!) to the Developer so he can continue to do his magic!

Works just fine, but it lacks one important feature:
With this addon you have to use exactly two fields (f.e. username and password), but there are sites out there with just one field (f.e. log in to a router with just a password) or with more than two fields (f.e. log in to a bank account with a number, username and password).
With this it would be a great addon!
It would be nice to have that, and we would, if Mozilla's Password Manager supported it (which it doesn't), or if Saved Password Editor were itself a password manager, as opposed to an enhancement for the built-in password manager.
If I ever write something like that, it will most likely be a different add-on.

This is on my personal list of must have extensions for SeaMonkey. Would be on this list for Firefox and Thunderbird, too. The ability to edit and add passwords without having to be at the actual site is priceless. Dare I say that it be considered as core functionality. I am currently unemployed and will be making a donation to continue the support of this extension. Thank you very much for being one of the few extension developers who continue to actively support the SeaMonkey browser! Be sure to check out his other extension - Password Tags - that works well with this one.

Does exactly what it's meant to do -- allows a user to manually edit the saved passwords database in Firefox. Just what I was looking for. Daniel, thanks for developing this useful extension.

excellent now I don't have to use the old long workaround to check passwords and login and paste it there

Actually this is great. I have accounts at quite a few different websites and sometimes I definitely forget what my username or password is, so this comes in very handy in helping to remember, in case I forget. Great add-on. Very helpful!

Muy buen complemento, eso de poder agregar manualmente los sitios es una idea genial
