Bis vor wenigen Minuten war ich von dem AddOn überzeugt. Jetzt, nach einem Update oder Neuladen vom Firefox ist mein komplettes Sitzungs-Backup-Verzeichnis leer !!!! Was soll der Scheiss?? Zich Tabs sind jetzt weg und ich muss sie mühsam wieder suchen - dazu hatte ich eigentlich dieses AddOn.
So ist das nicht zu gebrauchen - ich werde es jetzt deinstallieren - da ich mich nicht mehr drauf verlassen kann und mich auf mein Glück verlassen, dass das AddOn dann geht wenn ich es brauche - nee Danke.
Wieder mal ein gutes Beispiel wie man ein Stück Software durch Unfähigkeit oder Untätigkeit zugrunde richtet.

I think 19 or 20 it freezes firefox so u have to crash it And if u upgrade from 18 or 19 to 20 something like that it causes problems launching firefox after a crash, which is weird because even tho the task manager shows no firefox running or anything related, it's as if session manager is still on somehow but hidden, because not even crashing explorer causes the prob to go away, u have to reinstall again or restart ur computer.

This program never ceases to amaze me with how well it's design and execution was thought out. I had a problem with the program not working properly, but even with that. There was ways to still use the program properly, and the problem was fixed quickly with a new update no more than a month later. If what you want is a great program to store your "tab sessions" than this one is the only one for you. Only problem I have is no share-ability of sessions unless they are uploaded to a backup site, then downloaded onto the system... other than that... GREAT AS ALWAYS!!!

This add-on has saved my butt more times than I can count. About half of the time Firefox crashes, it cannot restore the tabs last open on its own. And since I usually have at least 20 tabs open, of articles/etc. that I DON'T want to lose, it has always been quite the experience whenever it happened.
But with session manager, I believe it only happened once that it was unable to "recover the last session" (as it will ask you upon starting after a crash). And even then, I was able to load the session saved shortly before the crash.
All browsers should have something like that! (Or at least have tabs crash protection that ALWAYS works)

Greatest addon ever. Effortlessly remembers all my sessions, the latest being 157 tabs. So useful for those who use ff to manage their lives.

The best of the best addon I have used ever. I saved any session with 20 or 25 tabs opened and just copy the session about 200 kb from firefox profile session folder. And open that session from home with all 20 or 25 tabs. Brilliant work. Hugely satisfied

Now my Firefox has nothing less than Opera.
I think it’s better for Session Manager menu to appear in History menu – if possible.

Saving tab sets is a default option in Opera. This is another plug-in that makes Firefox as powerful as Opera.

Hello,
when FF crashed and started again the oveview of saved sessions doesnt have the groups in it and the groups cant be enabled too. Thats not good when groups to tabs connections are broken. Then the tabs have groups with numbers... one cant see this without the groups.

it is realy great usefull and i have a suggestion it is:add a resizable text window directly under buttons of "Select All", "Select None" and "Toggle Selection" in Session Manager form this text window is to write long text in it to comment and describe the selected session so it is related and changed with selecting different session and the user can add notes or comments about the whole session when ever he need after opening the session and during browsing session's tabsI hope it is clear

Bugzilla won't let me log in (with clearly correct, just-created and correctly saved credentials), so I have to report a bug here. Sorry.
When Firefox is started and a session is restored, the foreground tab is not the tab that was in the foreground when the session was saved, but seems to be # tabs to the right of it, where # is the total number of pinned tabs. I'm guessing this is not difficult to fix.
Otherwise, this is a truly great extension!

but dos not work since Firefox 20 in any version 0.8.0.1, 0.8.0.5 or 0.8.0.5pre.
I'm using Windows XP and Firefox 20.0.1 actual.

@mentallurgthere IS a forum, and guess what? the link is a few lines above.
and a new profile is a way to check if the extension really is that buggy or if there is a conflict with another addon, which is most likely the case on your system.
and rating the extension with one star just because you have your OWN personal problem with it, is very unfair, to say the least.
i counted my active extensions right now, i have 46 of them. session manager included, and it works just fine. and so it does for other users, except for you obviously.
