Thanks for this good plugin. As Papasik already noticed I would appreciate if there is a automatic selection possibility once a new message is composed and a recipient is choosen.

Great Add-On! Should be included in Thunderbird by default. BUT: Please, Dennis, try to make it work together with the Add-On "Folder account" (or include it's functions).

I recently started having problem with my thunderbird menus corrupting in the window that opens to view a single email. Basically the first few menus become empty and shrink and many of the shortcuts are not there or invalid. This results in mails getting deleted when using any shortcuts that have been trashed like CTRL-W (Close Window) and CTRL-C (Copy).

I eventually traced this down to some interaction going on behind the scenes between Correct Identity and Thunderbird. Disabling or removing Correct Identity solved the problem.
I think this started to happen after the 2.0.0.15 version of Thunderbird but I haven't confirmed this.

I'll send an email to the developer but I thought perhaps others may be experiencing the same issue

It works all the time on Reply. It does not seem to work when a new email is composed by clicking on a mailto link, for example. Can I add this feature request for new update? And thanks for good work, it should be a default function of TB!

Fantastic extension! I have been forwarding my work email to gmail, but TB would choose my gmail account by default whenever I replied. After installing the plugin (and without fiddling with the options one bit) I can now reply from work to work emails by default. Thanks a lot!

A near-essential Add-on if, like me, you use dozens of different email addresses.

Looks like a great extension, but I'm having a problem with it, for some reason the options/preferences window is fairly small, and am unable to re-size it ( can't click on edges of the window to drag to larger size ) so I can see the rest of the selection preferences, so I am unable to set any options.

I use Thunderbird for work and 3 personal email accounts, all use IMAP. Mail for all accounts are filed in local folders for speed as Thunderbird always seems to retrieve the original even if I have it cached locally. Because everything is kept in Local Folders, native TB always uses the default account at the From rather than scanning for which email the message was originally sent to.

The one feature I could request is the ability to pick the correct From when I reply-all to a message in one of my Sent folders. This still uses the default From.

As I have several different mail addresses (private/work), this extension is a godsend. In a minute, this allowed me to stop worrying about the correct address to reply from - just click Reply and the right account selects itself. Love it!

I am a webmaster, and with 2 personal emails as well, it gets hectic keeping up with all the email accounts I have. This extension solves that problem when responding back with an email. There have been times in the past when I sent an email out and forgot to switch my sender address to the appropriate sending address. With this extension, that won't happen again.

This extension really comes in handy, I hate it when I accidentally reply using my private email address. Thanks

This is a great extension for people like me who dump all their incoming mail into one account but still want to reply from the correct address. When you reply to a mail Correct Identity will automatically select your identity the mail was addressed to. The options also provide you with a way to set the default identity for each account or override selected identity depending on sender addresses - but that is almost unnecessary. This extension will do its job reliably and without ever bothering you with configuration. Very recommendable.
