I appreciate your feedback. This addon, by default intention, is meant to strip all miscellaneous formatting from text -- including images. You will have to process images separately (and separate from CAPT) by downloading/inserting or copy/pasting the image directly into the document with which you are working.

I never use the Copy As Plain Text 1.0.9 is a good idea but after I use the normal copy, freezing occurs it is very sad, hopefully this time it's the same thing does not happen again

Very useful but unfortunately not usable at the moment. As @endaer mentioned, after a while it starts messing up your default copy function and Firefox freezes every time you use it.

Great idea, but after 1-2 days, it started to mess with the default copy option. Whenever I have used the normal copy, it caused freezes, after 1 weeks of usage it was up to 2-5 seconds of lag. I found that not good enough and uninstalled, sadly.

I think it is an excellent idea. I personally had been getting by using a custom made type box. It's just a plain text box that fills the width of my browser and sits in one of my tabs so I can use it for recording things on the go.
This is a fine add-on, but can it eliminate Ctrl+Shift+space? This is a locked space, and it can mess with formatting. Also, what if I *want* to keep the bold, underline, or italics, but none of the rest of the fluff?

I think i would genuinely use it if the "Copy as plain text" title in the right click menu was removed when you select the box for "set system default" option. It clutters the right click menu when you will be copying as plain text already. Thanks if you can add this feature!

The options are confusing and the add-on wasted my time. I couldn't get it to copy plain text into Excel.
After all - the add-on is called "Copy As Plain Text" and not "Copy As Plain Text (Only inside Firefox)".
This add-on has been undergoing a code audit to correct some issues and to bring things up to date. Starting with v1.0.9 (which is currently available as a release candidate on the forum), the issues you have experienced should be a thing of the past.

Not working for me any more with firefox..is it becoz click cutter maybe?

I don't know which addons you have installed, but make sure that you don't have a conflict with another addon that is attempting to use the same keyboard shortcut. That will only result in a flash of annoyance that is not much better than a kick in the pants.
I plan to make changing the keyboard shortcut a changeable option, but I haven't had the time yet to implement it. If, after troubleshooting your addons, you find that CAPT still functions as the description states, then please reconsider your rating.

Very useful tool. Almost perfect.
One more suggestion to further improve this:
While selecting text with the mouse for using it as pathname or search string, it often happens that one moves slightly up or down, accidently selecting the previous or next line together with the text.
Especially if it's empty, you don't notice the flawed selection and the selection appears to be empty when pasted into the search field of windows.
For this it would be fine to automatically remove not only empty _spaces_ around the text, but also linebreaks/empty lines around the text.
I am looking into this for a future update.
