Copy Sent to Current
Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
I have the same problem reported by Oli1234 on 2 April, but with TB 150. As soon as it was upgraded, some accounts could no longer send mail and I eventually tracked the problem down to Copy Sent to Current (messages send when it’s disabled).
When trying to diagnose the problem I upgraded using the latest from the website, but it didn’t fix the problem.
After installing it a second time, e-mail is sending again. Maybe disabling the add-on in between had some effect?
Error: Send aborted by an onBeforeSend event
GenericSendMessage chrome://messenger/content/messengercompose/MsgComposeCommands.js:6195
MsgComposeCommands.js:6432:13
GenericSendMessage chrome://messenger/content/messengercompose/MsgComposeCommands.js:6432
I’ve used this add-on for years now with no problem and wouldn’t like to be without it!
❝The error message sounds like you actively canceled the sending process. Perhaps accidentally.❞
What a ridiculous (and rude) response. I spent a very long time testing this with multiple accounts. I did not cancel sending “accidentally” or otherwise.
Multiple people have experienced this and this kind of response doesn’t reflect well on the developer. I posted here because it might help other users of this add-on. I still gave you a good rating, so please try to be a little more gracious.

If this extension is abandoned you should write something *here* to say so, not direct people to a 12 year old blog thread.
Lightning

It installs. It appears to work OK, but it's not Sunbird.
The whole reason I liked using Mozilla programs was that they weren't all jammed together in a compromised bloatage like MS Outlook.
I installed it because I was hoping to fix the Sunbird 0.9 bug where using the Irish language pack causes short dates to appear in US format even though my locale is Australia. Sadly I can't even find the "Go to a date" dialog in Lightning where this problem occurred.
If it's so obscure that I can't even find how to go directly to a date, what is the point? Apparently we're only ever expected to go to Today.
And does it offer to import your Sunbird settings and calendars? No, of course not. If you're going to kill off a project at least do it with some elegance.
