It's still in experimental stage? But it works! :D At least I won't have to maintain separate address books for my Gmail and my Thunderbird app. Nice and thanks!

Installed and runs perfectly from what I can tell. The initial default for maximum contacts was too low to get my entire contact list, but changed it to 999 (way more than I have) and it picked up the whole list next restart. Be nice to have offline support for changing contacts, easier access to options, and the ability to reload without restarting; but for me this works very well already. Aweome! Thank you!

It did not download all my contacts from gmail.
The setup was a breeze, since nothing needs to be done.

looking forward for the non experimental version :)

Looks good so far. The GMail address book appears exactly like the normal thunderbird address book. It's what I was looking for to complete the set (with lightning and provider) for complete access to GMail and Google Calendar.

I was waiting for this extention for a long time. This tools along side with Provider and Lightning make thunderbird the best companion almost...
I hope that Google contact will do Instant Messaging in the future
