A great extension, beyond that time between v73 and v78 when it didn't work, now that it works again I can manage my Google calendars from TB again.

It is a great addon but it currently does not work on Thunderbird 78.

Used to work but since quite some time it's a constant source of frustration. Constantly having to reinstall or disable and enable again to make it work. More often than not it just does nothing. Utterly useless.

Doesn't return any calendars despite successfully authenticating.

Ne fonctionne pas du tout.
Impossible d'obtenir la liste des calendriers ou agendas après avoir validé l'autorisation d’accéder à mon compte. Rien ne s'affiche.
L'appli est pourtant bien autorisée dans mon compte Google.

This add-on worked perfectly until few days ago, when Thunderbird updated to version 68.9.0 released on June 03, 2020.
Now, I have to reinstall the add-on each time I restart Thunderbird, otherwise my calendar is freezed (my events appear but they are like shadows) and I have no reminder.
Reinstalling the add-on and restarting Thunderbird fixes the issue until the next shutdown.
So I have ti do this after each startup.

What about several google accounts? An attempt to set up another google calendar fails.

In general, the plugin works well
but today, after trying to erase all the past tasks, i begin receiving a message "the quota is exceeded for this account" (or something like this) and it is impossible to continue using my task list ... i'm disappointed

crashes at startup, asks to login each time.
found using "TbSync" with "Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV"
to be a much better alternative

I set up this add-on with my existing Google Calendar, and it erased all of the custom colors on my events. The bug for this (#6 on GitHub) has been unresolved since 2016.
I've uninstalled this add-on, revoked its access to my Google account, and am now having to go back through and painstakingly readd all of the colors to my calendar.
Finding that an add-on deletes data upon installation is deeply frustrating, and I would actively disrecommend the use of this add-on.

There may have been some issues in updating the app to Thunderbird 68.x.x, but they've been resolved. The app synchronized my calendar and tasks between Thunderbird and Google perfectly and instantly upon a refresh.

I have used this addon for a long time and it worked always. But now suddenly it keeps asking for verification and does nothing else.
Thunderbird version 68.6.0 and latest lightning. The provider for Google calendear is 100% unusable...

plain and simple, just doesn't work. No syncing at all. If I create an event in TB it stays in TB, if I create an event in Google Calendar is stays in Google Calendar.

Super easy, supports two factor auth, and it just works!
My calendar(s) now appear within the Lightning Add-on within Thunderbird using this add on (Hey, I heard you like add ons....).
