Good program and mostly does what it should do. The only downside is that you can't leave sticky mode since the last update which is pretty annoying.

I still have proplem with the placement of the popup. The popup is hovering over, the text is hidden so it's a bit unconfortable for reading. Please advise me if there is a way to fix this, I really need Rikaichan on my PC back to normal.

Rikaichan is great, but recently something has changed. I have a set of UTF-8 txt files which can be read normally on version 2.09.1 and the lookup pop-up works fine, but now after upgrading to 3.02, the pop-up is not working at all. It's the same set of files each time, and web pages are working fine, just txt files are a problem.

I had the same problem as the 3.00 reviews below, but it's now been fixed and back to being great.

The window simply doesn't appear anymore on OS X.

The hover now hides the text being read, so it is not usable anymore.
I hope the bug can be fixed, thanks! :-)

....the new placement of the text makes it unusable. Not uncomfortable, unusable. Plus I spent 15 minutes figuring out why the Send button went gray...

It's a very convenient add-on, especially when you need help with reading kanji and don't know certain grammatical structures yet.
Great for casually practising Japanese on the go, without having to copy and paste every single word into an online dictionary.
I miss the old icon..it was so cute :(

Really useful add-on! It is too tedious to look up each word in the dictionary. A powerful learning tool when combined with Anki.

For those of you having problems with this add-on on Firefox 51.0: install the 3.00 version, not the 2.x

I love RIkaichan and it has been a huuuge help to learn Japanese while reading stuff online. Thank you so much !

BUUUUT it doesn't work anymore on FIrefox 51.0...so I'm just putting the 1 star rating to alert the dev team !
UPDATE: The latest Rikaichan beta (3.00rc2) version works well so far, I update my rating to 5 stars :)

Thank you Rikaichan team for the really useful tool you´ve developed. Unfortunately, the add on does not work with the newest version of Firefox (51.0). I´ve had to reinstall the older version to make Rikaichan work again, but it would be great if it worked with the newest version too.

been using this for over 8 years.
Ever since a few weeks ago it stopped working on Windows 10. Maybe I need to donate to get it to work.

Giving 4 stars. It works perfectly, but there's a glitch (It says that the add-on is corruypt) that prevents me from installing it on my Firefox. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 as my OS.

This extension does a really complete job at translating japanese! Even katakana words can be translated which helps alot since many katakana words are japanese-made english which I normally cannot understand. And its really useful to activate and apply to certain keywords that I don't understand on japanese news websites.

A possible improvement or addition would be to able to translate entire paragraphs or sentences using this functionality you already have for words - that would help alot in understand difficult text of japanese.

Thanks!

Thank you very much for such an AWESOME & USEFUL addon.

Looks like toggle shortcuts doesn't work on Mac. Using the latest version 2.09.1. Tried different settings / different combination, but with the same result - it just won't toggle rikaichan.

I found no way to contact you on polarcloud, so I'm writing here. Since 2.08, Rikaichan's text boxes are next to unusable: instead of always appearing a small constant distance away from the character selected (2.07: http://prntscr.com/6ta65k) either fly away to a random place (2.09: http://prntscr.com/6t9zto) or cover the text (http://prntscr.com/6t9zfa, I'm mousing over a word that's in the middle of where the text box appeared).
