Il also used this add-on for many years. Thanks a lot to the developers for maintaining it.
Native integration in Thunderbird works well for my own calendars. But I could not manage to integration the calendars other users share with me. With the add-on it worked. Is there any solution?

Fantastic add-on.
Stopped working 10 days ago with constant erreir message
"Error 402 : rate_limit_execeed" ... which say you shold ask for an higher limit to your provider.
Please do so!

This is a wonderful add-on. Unfortunately, it stopped working (error has been described by many users).
Unless other users I can't use the built-in function for Calendars, since it doesn't support tasks. Using "Open Google Calendar" add-on works for tasks, but they can't be neatly separated and are shown as one "calendar".
So I really do need THIS add-on. Hoping that the dev will have a fix up and running in no time.
//update 1/2/2022 The add-on is now working properly again. Thank you very much!

Create a working version of the added version! Latest version does not work!

It seems that the developer knows about the problem, but it will take a few days to solve it.

I have used Provider for many years and would like to thank the developers and support for their hard work and diligence. Since the rate limit error, and because TB/Google calendars now natively support each other, and my calendar needs are minimal, I'll be abandoning the Provider. /File/New/Calendar/On the Network/ works.
Thank you for the years of good service.

Add-on fails with rate limit exceeded for Google Calendar since a couple of days

Vasilis Ant's procedure a few posts down works just fine to resolve the 403 error. Oddly enough, Provider is still working on 2 of 3 computers. Not sure why the difference.

Edit: Back on track - great! Thanks!
It used to work fine, but for a few days I face the same problem as most users here.
Regarding the direct connection using the private .ics-link: It works. I can read my calendar.
But I can't edit it. Does anyone have an advice?
thanks!

The plugin was working fine.
But, for two days I can no longer synchronize my google calendar with Thunderbird 91.5.1. I have a blocking error message: Error 403: rate limit exceeded

Someone somewhere touched a running system ... like many other users I have had repeated requests from google since yesterday to sign in in order to synchronize my calendar. Now google is complaining that there has been too much activity with this add-on. Not surprising when thousands of users all try to rescue their appointments at the same time! So who changed something - google or firefox? Please change it back again, and quickly!

For those who think this is obsolete: No it isn't. It has significantly more capabilities then the built-in provider. I switched today because of errors and am unable to view several calendars. Delegated/shared calendars, for example, don't show up. And you can apparently have only one Contacts calendar, which means I have to choose only one of my three Google accounts for that. Not sure why Mozilla can't do as good a job as this developer did.

Hi, thanks for this dev and addon ! For few days, we notice the problem "Erreur 403 : rate_limit_exceeded". Google explains : could you increase the maximum connection rate of the app ?
Regards

Thank you Szabi. Your solution works perfectly. But you have to import link for each google calendar separately, if you have more than one.
