Works with firefox fine and shows in Thunderbird a notification when a mail arrives in inbox and stays there. There is no notification when mails are filtered and send after receiving to a folder in local folders. When configuring the filter to start after Junk-detection gnotifier shows a notification but without content. Seems the filter-Engine takes the message before gnotifier can get it.
system is Linux Mint cinnamon 18.1 64-bit, TB 45.7.0, gnotifier 1.9.8

Not working on 64 bit version of Firefox 51, Windows 10
edit: Updated to 51.0.1, it's working now :)
I made tests it the same configuration (i.e. Win10, FF51 64bit) and everything worked. Please make issue report on https://github.com/mkiol/GNotifier/issues or send me more details to gnotifier@mkiol.net. Thanks!

Update:
Works great now! Thanks to the developer for finding the problem and solution.
---------------------------
Old:
Displays notifications for new mail in all the subfolders of an account - but not for the inbox itself. The message "Notifications for this folder is turned off" is displayed. There is no setting to turn them on.
My add-on does not produce "Notifications for this folder is turned off" message, so it seems that this issue is not caused by GNotifier. Please create new report on https://github.com/mkiol/GNotifier or send me more details to gnotifier@mkiol.net.
UPDATE:
After deeper verification, source of the problem was identified and will be fixed in the next GNotifier release. Thank you Farbmond for your report and helping me in troubleshooting.

Integrates firefox well into windows 10, using the notification pane seems much more logical than the default infoboxes. But i keep getting the same download notfications over and over again, so sadly i deleted the addon for now. Maybe a problem with "Download Panel Tweaker"...

Please update the extension to make it work for e10s (so Firefox can be touch compatible on Linux). Thanks!

windows10 - I now get notifications in my notification pane. One thing I would like to be able to do is have option to delete or mark as read and reply right on the notification! I don't know if this is possible but it would be soooo great. Thanks

При клике на уведомление письмо открывается во вкладке, но! фокус на thunderbird не переходит. Т.е. открытие письма во вкладке происходит где то в фоне!

One of the reasons I did try other programs on Windows were the notifications. But I did miss the functionality of Thunderbird, so I came back pretty fast.
With Gnotify Thunderbird integtegrates just perfectly in Windows 10. Now frills, and works perfectly, as I can see after the first Mail arrived. GET IT NOW!

I am using Arch with i3 (dunst for notifications), and this addon really makes the notification fit in with the rest of my system.
This kind of functionality should be default, imo. Good job!

Let's Thunderbird seamlessly be incorporated into any Linux flavor by using the default notification setup of your current distro. I had a bug using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS not showing incoming email notifications using the standard settings, this add-on solved the problem and gave me more control over the notifications. Great job mkiol, keep up the great work.
