Very handy and easy to use, but incomplete for use on Mac OS X; when an e-mail with an XNote is opened, the note is hidden behind.

I love it.

This is absolutely the most useful extension for Thunderbird. The extension itself is really quite simple. It's one of those features that in hindsight seems so obvious to have in an e-mail client.
The only downside is it doesn't work 100% as intended on OSX. On OSX the XNote window opens up behind the Thunderbird window when you click on an e-mail with an XNote attached. So you have to get that each time. Also, the OSX window controls (Close, Minimize) are shown in addition to the XNote close buttons. So it doesn't seem quite as seamless. These are fairly minor problems, but they are the only things that cause me to give XNote a 9/10 instead of 10/10.
Hopefully those OSX issues can be resolved. In any event, keep up the great work!

I was looking for this, for last 2 years. I can't say how important it is to add personal notes when dealing with clients. Eg now one can add promised favors for the client in the notes section. Or can add notes about their personality... in terms of how to best deal with them. Awesome!!!

Thanks for that add-on. I used Notary before, but could not get it to work with the new TB versions. So I'm happy to have found a replacement.
Wishes: a date/time stamp (configurable in options ) one could enter (via right-click menu or similar) in the note text.

This is so beautiful... in function foremost and surprisingly also in appearance. Very, very nice...
A suggestion--get this sticky note feature to work when visiting specific websites or somehow like when hovering over file names on the local file system in Firefox...

Absolutely brilliant idea!!!!
Although it would be nice if the notes were a bit more configurable.
Nothing extraordinary, just things like controlling the font size or remembering the last place where I had placed a note (right now I have to move every new note from the middle of the screen to the left bottom corner where I like to keep them)

Very useful for adding notes to correspondence. Works with our IMAP server too (Cyrus IMAP) which is great.
Can be fiddly to edit an existing note though - not sure why but I seem to have to click on it quite a bit before it will let me edit.
Using XNote 2.0.1 with Thunderbird 2.0.0.0 on Ubuntu 7.04.
