I'm using it for more than 10 weeks, I had no problems with it, it's very friendly, smooth and does the job. I can edit my files online, I can do whatever I want, cut/paste on my FTP server.
I first installed it on Firefox using Slackware, and now I've just installed it on my kid's computer; this one is running windoze, and it still works very fine. Congratulations!

Can't remember the last time I used any other ftp'r . . . . This would be a great tool even if it were a stand-alone program. Keeep up the great work !

Easy to use simplicity! It's great being able to upload files from my web browser and to see the results instantly! A million stars!!

I love having FireFTP sitting on the sidebar, and the convenience of quickly zapping something up to my site, but it sometimes seems to forget that I told it to disconnect, and I get incomplete pop ups warning that the session has expired.
Having said that, I have not regretted installing it. It is at the head of its class!

It's clean simple and works. It's easy to manage multiple account logins. It opens in another tab so no second program or clunky interface. Sweet! If you need to FTP files then be sure to get this.

Thanks for this contribution but I think it's not ready for the masses.
I think this FTP client needs an option to remember passwords, needs a Refresh option on the right click, and an option on the right click to choose where to download a file.
Also, I don't like the way it uploads.
For example, with SmartFTP, when I want to upload a folder which already exists on FTP it ask me (like FireFTP) if I want to Overwrite, Overwrite All, etc., and if I chose Overwrite, it will overwrite only the files, not the entire folder! FireFTP will overwrite the entire folder, and you may lose some date, like I just did.
Also, there is no Browse option on the right click.
Again, Thank you for this contribution, but if somebody needs a real FTP client, it should avoid FireFTP for now.

It is built within firefox, therefore no opening up some seperate program. It's containted neatly in a tab, right there with the web pages you are probably working on if you are using FTP. The connections are simple to set up, and uncomplicated to understand. What more can you ask for?

This is by far the most useful and reliable Firefox Add-on I've tried in the past year or so. I've been using FireFTP for quite a few months and it's so easy and handy that I uninstalled the FTP software I had purchased before finding FireFTP. Top of the line!

I really like this add-on, especially the new icon update, it looks much nicer.
I'm not sure if it has been fixed, but it seems to have a slight mem-leak, once i left it on for 48hrs, came back to my computer and it was CRAWLING, I checked the task manager and it appeared to be firefox, I closed the FireFTP tab, and everything was back to normal...
All in all: Great FTP, if you don't leave it open for more than a couple hours :p.

This is a very well done, and genuinely useful extension. I am currently using fireftp as my main ftp program, to upload/download to about 20-30 different servers. Some areas for improvement would be the ability to export/import entries with passwords, and a tree-like structure to organize sites. I just updated to the newest version of fireftp, and it wiped out all my saved passwords. Also, since I have about 200-300 entries in the drop-down menu, it becomes difficult to organize by site. The ability to create directories would be very useful. Thank you for contributing such a great extension to the community, it's one of my favorites.

This is the one extension that I have always had installed for the last year or more, most I install for a time, then remove. But I never have removed this one.
I have tried various other FTP programs before I started useing this and several since. But non have matched this extension for usability and convenience. The local and remote folder views, and the directory diff in the latest version the allows for checking the files by the date they were modified. Testing many files before I upload them I can see this being used all the time. And there is so many other things I could say about it.
Keep it up !

*insert happy dance here*
Yay! I'm glad this has been brought back for FF3. I can't say enough good things about this FTP client. Works as well as any other FTP client I've used for what I do at work. Thanks for bringing it back!

Just registered to comment. FireFTP is my favorite Add-on. Having the same problem with newest version as reviewer Andy. Files not showing up in Remote window. (didn't even try to upload) Reverted to previous version and works fine.

As someone already indicated, the most recent version of FireFTP is giving me problems...for most of my domains it is not showing anything in FireFTP (when I log in), others I get errors with...for now I will downgrade to the last version. Overall FireFTP is GREAT!
