I only gave it 4 stars because it is situational. The main point is it can show just how little resources your add-ons probably are using. Even if you run a bunch they probably aren't slowing you down- they probably are speeding you up.

The key is to run it and then not obsess over the results- especially if you don't know how to interpret them. MAYBE it might point out add-ons with memory leaks. Also, add-ons that do more are going to require more resources while those that make minor changes or run silently in the background are going to tend to be dinky. That is how the cookie crumbles.

The bottom line is it is a handy tool if it isn't abused. I recommend installing it, running it periodically and then disabling it most of the time and not stressing over it.

Awesome addon! Thank you to the developer.

When I first installed this addon, my browser crashed every time I tried to use it just like the user below. I isolated the problem to the Session Manager addon. I now use the session manager in Tab Mix Plus. No more crashes.

By the way, I have about 70 addons installed. If Session Manager is not installed on your system, it may be some other addon. Disable them a few at a time until you zero in on the one causing a problem.

This is an excellent add-on.

For all those people asking the author to create a toolbar button for quick access, Just create a book mark and add it to the bookmarks toolbar.

Wow !!!

What I was looking for... for years... :-)

Because unless you're a real tech pro and even so,
the "basic" Firefox "about:memory" is far too complex (at least for me)
and I could never figure out "which add-on is doing what"...

10 stars and...

10'000 lives, as were used Chinese to whish Long Live to their Emperor !

Will keep the xpi file aside, in case Mozilla would remove it,
as I see it is experimental.

As already been said, should be in Firefox natively installed !

So thanks a lot :-)

Not really useful every day but easier to read than the default "about:memory" (without "")

Nice! (And reassuring: of 70 enabled extensions, the biggest ones are Adblock Plus, ChatZilla and "SeaMonkey", all the rest is below 3 MB apiece, total 135 MB).

This add-on gets the promised job done. However, accessing the interface is not very easy for casual user. It would really help to have some kind of direct access, for example movable button, menu entry or any other kind of settings to do so.

Otherwise simple, neat and working add-on. Big thanks to Nils!

Really makes about addons memory understandable in plain english. Only shows addons memory usage and not total browser usage as it says 300 MB but 1,255 MB is in use according to about:memory
