I've just discovered that, along with URLs and groups of URLs, you can set up shortcuts to files, folders, and programs! The only reason Speed Dial doesn't get the 5th star is because the weather dial does not seem to work anymore...

I had added a new page and added a bunch of new bookmarks and refreshed the pages to make sure they would stay. I closed the window and it reverted back to the original bookmarks and lost all the new ones. I have the newest version but liked one of the older ones because I never had problems.

Hi Josep, have been using this for some time, and think it is fantastic. That said, one minor but constant 'annoyance' is having to physically click on groups to open that page. Is there an easy fix to have the group pages appear on simply mouse-over of the group tab(s)? Many thanks

Very bad. After install speed dial address and search bars was gone.

I like the latest changed in behaviour of Speeddial. Nice.
Will there be an option to use firefox synchronisation of bookmarks and so on with speedial (or maybe there is)?

Рекомендую всем! Т.к. в стандартной версии FireFox нету визуальных вкладок, то приходится ставить сторонние и SpeedDial лучше всех со своей заддачей справляется

it's a great addon, but it lost all my groups and addons and i hadn't backed it up yet, is there some way to fix this????

Two years ago it was the best addon for me, but now...when i start use firefox sync, i found out that Speed Dial cant be synchronized too...
May be it could be helpful tip for you project - so, what if you will use firefox build-in synchronization methods? I mean - create, by your speed dial, special folder with Bookmarks (from Speed dial of course) and when user will sync browser, it automatically add speed dial's Bookmarks and everybody be happy :)
Also you can use cripto-algorithms to hide names of bookmarks, or use something else.
It will allow you not to create a special service (web site) to synchronize.

Not all it's reported to be.
The dials do not accurately show the page. They often show a partial and do not load completely. They are clumsy and more difficult to edit than others I have used.

Is there a way to link (let's say my 3rd speed dial item) to be used from excel?
I mean when I create an excel hyperlink, it will open my 3rd speed dial item?

It's a very good and useful addon with correct using of memory
It would be a good thing if it would be possible to launch SD with the simple overall "right clic+left clic" as in Fox Tab. ;)

Best fast dial extension around here, but it has no sync, and that is a big problem nowadays.

Love this add on! But would love to be able to change the appearance of the grey color around the speed dial boxes so we could personalize it like a background!!! That would make this add on 5 stars!!!!

Probably the best SD addon out there, but I would like to make a suggestion: the ability to remember last open group or a configurable keyboard shortcut to quickly change groups.
