These days, I ugraded to FF 38 and of course RequestPolicy got blocked.
So instead of editing the RequestPolicy package (as recommended by some), I just tried RequestPolicyContinued.
I must say it works well and has some new features. I think this is definitely the way to go. You can either build from the sources (I did that), or download a binary from their site: https://requestpolicycontinued.github.io/.
It takes a couple of minutes to get accustomed to, because the user interface has been changed, but after 5-10 minutes you're up and running with a version that has more features and is nicer to use!
Very promising work, I must say!
Thumbs up!

I really love this extension.
Please consider adding an option: "Make page permissions permanent". This would be helpful if you temporarily allow some requests and then want to keep them permanently. Otherwise, you have to go back and forbid them and then allow them again. Note that NoScript has an option like this, and it is very helpful.

Very good for adblocking and privacy.

I found it blocking certain images on amazon.com. The images were coming from images-amazon.com. Temporarily allowing all requests resolved the issue. So, RP must be blocking something that would show in the list of "Blocked destinations", right? Wrong.
Why wouldn't it? Because it's not smart enough. I had to dig to find out what was going on, and create a rule with origin ssl-images-amazon.com and destination images-amazon.com. This was the first and only site I've visited since installing this extension, because apparently privacy and security is supposed to become a full-time hobby.
I recommend installing it along with NoScript so you can stop wasting time enjoying the internet, and devote 13 hours a day instead to configuring Firefox extensions.

RequestPolicy is second-to-none when it comes to providing control over your browsing experience. Once you know how many third party sites are stalking you, it becomes incredibly satisfying to block them.
This addon opens up web browsing at the domain level and, as such, it requires a basic understanding of how websites work. If you don't know what a CDN is, you should get your privacy elsewhere. If you do, and you don't mind a little extra work when visiting new sites, then RequestPolicy will give you a newfound feeling of control over the web.
Just a couple of features I would like to see:
- Wildcards: i.e. allow *.example.com
- (optionally) Pre-load with a decent list of standard exceptions so people don't feel like this addon has broken the web.

I do not remember how I discover RequestPolicy but since I simply do not want to go on the web without !
For me only miss a function: "Accept all request except..." :)

It's an excellent addon.
As for new 1.0.0b7 (RequestPolicy Continued).
There was a good feature in latest stable build with import/export custom rules in text file. Looks like it is completely broken now - I cannot export anything form My Policy page. It is a pity, because it was a good feature for syncing policies at different systems. By the way it could be developed in true syncing - like a button, that means "Import and then Export" or even automatic syncing using some path (path could be to Dropbox folder for instance).
Maybe you can revert it back?

Tôi thấy nó thật tuyệt. Nó chặn quảng cáo hơn cả Adblock Plus. Thật sự rất ấn tượng. Nó giúp việc truy cập website trở nên nhanh hơn

Pairs well with No Script add-on.
Too obtrusive for normal use. Other anti-tracking add-on are usually all I desire.
Best for use with tor.

While maintenance has stopped for now, a fork is being considered quite actively since a long time now so it might happen soon. Regardless, it still works perfectly for me on Palemoon.
What a lot of people commenting here don't seem to understand is what this add-on is useful for. GP2 recommending PrivacyBadger instead is a clear example, because those 2 add-ons do very different things. PB is another one of those tracker-blockers, with the unique addition of an automatic detection. RP lets you simply block entire domains, preventing scripts, images, iframes, cookies and everything else entirely. It's equivalent to adding an entry to your OS' hosts file that redirects to localhost. Obviously, you need to have the skills to tell malignant domains apart from beneficial ones, otherwise you'll screw up and it's your own fault. Many people also compare it to NoScript: again, wrong. NS disables scripts from specific domains, RP blocks any and all connections to said domain, scripts and more. It's a simpler but more powerful tool than either NS or PB, or any other, because of what it does.
By the way, another great way to do all of the former is by using HostsMan and picking good blocking lists. It adds tens of thousands of entries to your hosts file to block access to ads, malware, trackers, etc, no matter which program tries to connect to them. The blocking happens at OS level, not browser/add-on level.

it was really a great extension and I've used it for quite some time (before giving up on it) It makes stupid pages with chained loaders loading 100+ external things load in 0.2 rather than 5+ seconds.
Sadly it also kills the css files "rendering" most websites hard if not impossible to use.
While wonderful in concept the lack of logic and the weird UI consumes almost as much time as was gained, time you have to spend aiming the mouse and clicking all over the place, guessing which blocked content is the css file is so weird it is entirely not worth the effort (specially for sites you visit only 1 time)
Adding a temp exception for single visit domains shouldn't require more than 1 click, this feature needs an extra task bar button or the (usual) "disable" function when right clicking the icon. One has to use a sub menu entry the whole time? This part was not very well done at all. After diving into the sub menu's thousands of times I just had enough of it. sorry. Perhaps if it was the first entry in stead of the last I would be less annoyed by it.
Disabling redirects should be optional as it is not useful for anything. It just makes browsing even more annoying. Sometimes redirecting images and iframes don't seem to work at all, regardless of the settings.
Hope this helps and good luck!

I really, REALLY wish someone would grab the source code for this addon and add blacklist capability. It's a great addon, but I want to use it ONLY to block the ability of people to snag my IP using pics on certain message boards, while leaving all other sites alone. Someone please run with this! TIA

The "1.0" add-on (from the author's site) was decent while it was being updated, but there have been no commits to the GitHub repository for the past year. Go with EFF's PrivacyBadger instead, which provides an extra level of control (block, allow javascript without cookies, allow javascript and cookies), and is relatively new and actively maintained.
