I retract my previous review. I found the source/target option and after changing it appropriately, it now works very well! It is excellent

Disappointing. It does not translate as described. The popup works, but there is no translation and there is no option to change the source/target languages that I can see anywhere.

Hi there. Good tool, but I need to specify source & target language... it assumes my locale, but this is not what I have in mind. Can't you improve the preferences with this?

you can enable this plug-in by editing install.rdf file in *.xpi archive.

spent an hour searching for a tool like this for thunderbird! Need it for my job - reading returned email from email marketing.

Only problem is formatting does not work properly. Also wish there was a way to make a button to translate the entire email right in the email window.

Only one of its kind for thunderbird apparently!

this is a great tool. it helped me a lot for instant translations. I hope there will be an update to FF3 soon.

This just saved my family. We needed to send an email to a friend in Italy. I installed the Italian dictionary, Quick Locale Switcher, and this. We got everything we wanted translated, and everything went well. Yay for add-ons, because before I finally got them to switch to Thunderbird and Firefox, they used the monolith of monoliths...AOL!

This extension simply doesn't work anymore. I sure wish it did, because it's a great idea. "Please wait..." appears briefly, then disappears, and the little widow closes. Nothing gets translated.

Hi,
I was using the previous version which worked perfectly but the new one shows an error.
It would be nice to be able to install older versions.

DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU USE SPANISH AS THE GUI LANGUAGE

I have an issue very similar to another reviewer. The "Please wait..." message pops up, and then the little "window" that was in shrinks to one just a few pixels high... and then vanishes entirely.

I suspect it might be a Theme compatibility issue. Will test this out with the default theme.
