I'm not as bothered about the status bar... I have however noticed that I can not add email accounts while this addon is enabled. I have to disable, add account, and reenable (with a few TB restarts sprinkled in there).

I haven't really put this puppy through it's paces yet though but in my simple testing it works.

Very promising.
Does break my status bar on main TB window with TB 13 and 14 though.

Very simple and effective.
If your work-flow is mainly based on emails (like mine) this will help a lot!

I was searching the functionality of reminding me if somebody does not answer my mail for years.

This plugin does the trick!

Whenever I did not figure out how sending a reminder mail works. Nothing happend for me.
But the tag of the messages changed to RemindIt.Expired so I made a search folder based on that tag.

Hi, the update of this extension for versions 9+ is ongoing. This would solve your problem I hope

A really useful addon. I hope that the developer continues working on it. There're a lot of similar (but paid) services for other email clients like this. Thunderbird is really missing this feature.

An excellent idea and most useful extension, but it's probably incompatible with other extensions, as it does not appear, for instance, in my main window. Also, it would be nice if in the next update the settings (of number of days) would be available individually, for each message.
I hope that this extension will be come popular and be updated regularly, as it a good replacement of Lightning, which I'd prefer to disable.
