Ummm ... okay ... WTF does this add-on actually do? Would be nice if it said. I'm sure as heck not gonna install it blindly and just hope Microsoft doesn't mess up Firefox as badly as they do everything else they touch.

The "best bet" boxes that appear in Bing's results always seem to hit the nail on the head (I use them for sports, local search, and quick word definitions in particular.) Gets better all the time, and keeps Goog honest with respect to privacy in particular. (Bing doesn't keep data as long.)

I don't care for Google as a company because they're going in the same direction that Microsoft did in the 90s. I've heard Google called the "Evil Empire 2.0" and I support this assertion. My little comment was inspired by the one before it giving this plugin one star for being "not google". I simply gave it five stars for being "not google". I suppose that was flippant but it irks me that users can downrate so easily without any real justification. Google fanboys (and girls) are probably the main reason that I promote Bing; it's fun to send someone into a frothing rage in defense of the almighty goog. :p

Bing isn't bad, but I've never had a problem with Google's search results (did you confuse the Bing TV ads with your actual use of google?) ever and when a commenter prefers a map system devoid of street view or transit/walking, the rest of us know there's something up with these reviews. If we're comparing non-search services like email, calendar, etc, it's not even a competition any more. Of course this is really for the add on, but it just links to bing anyway.

Google has lost it. Their Pseudo PR stunts no longer impress me.
Everything that Google does drives forward their ads and anti-privacy agenda.

I've switched to Bing due to recent statements from Google. It seems Google has no interest in maintaining / protecting the privacy of it's users. Google's CEO Eric Schmidt doesn't seem to grasp the concept of privacy. In an interview with CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo he stated: "If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place". Yeah right. Bye Bye Eric, Hello Steve B.

I was thinking that this addons was for when you type wrong thing in the adress bar firefox wasn't using google to find what you want but using Bing.com instead.

Is there already an addons that is doing this?

If not, can devlopper's do it? it would be so awsome.

I decided to swith to Bing because of the PDG of Google said bad thing about privacy.

Help me please I got this error when I try to download it:

Install Error
Firefox could not install the search plugin from "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/latest/10434/addon-10434-latest.xml?src=addondetail" because an engine with the same name already exists.

I do not have install it yet so why is it teloing me that there is an engine with the same name?

I'll try something and post a new comment.

surprisingly this Bing thing is damn accurate. very well done. Microsoft is doing a heck of a good job lately. windows7, bing, Shopping Cash Back, Netflix on my 360, and.....

Da haben sich die Entwickler von Microsoft mal was nettes einfallen lassen. Die Suchmaschine kommt mit einem frischem Design und liefert sehr gute Treffer.
