I wish I found this plugin sooner! Someone wrote it's awfully slow. From the time of this review, I have had my own Mail-In-A-Box Server on AWS for almost the past decade. I use IMAP with Thunderbird. The DKIM check is almost instantaneous!

Sorry 2 say, but it is horrible slow. Using dovecot on OpenBSD to manage my EMails (imap) I have to wait several sends for every click in Thunderbird.

- Enable reading of the Authentication-Results header
- Enabling caching of the DKIM keys
If that does not help please open an issue (https://github.com/lieser/dkim_verifier/issues) so the cause can be investigated further.

Excellent! I wish it would also check the SPF and DMARC parameters. Any chances the author would add this with an upcoming update?

The add-on does not do any SPF or DMARC checks, but can read the result from the Authentication-Results header, see https://github.com/lieser/dkim_verifier/wiki/Options#read-authentication-results-header.

Excellent add-on. Performs as advertised, starts working at once, and quite fascinating to review one's mail and see who has got their DKIM/DMARC config wrong. Including me, in the first instance.
Cheeky suggestion: If Philippe Lieser is looking for something to do in his copious free time, may I suggest he consider adding BIMI logo display to the add-on? At the moment I believe it displays logos of well-known senders from its own private collection of icons. To load the correct logo dynamically would be even cooler.

For now you unfortunately have to create an issue/PR or write an email to add an icon missing in the internal list.

Very useful addon with a lot of configuration options. Must have for checking email legitimity, or monitor email deliverability. 10/10

Default settings is a bit off from what you want.
A ton of senders have no DKIM signature. I wanted this addon as fast indicator and it does the job.

I used this addon before tb68. After update this addon has been disabled, after version 3.1 it enabled again. BUT it not work, I can't see any DKIM messages, and settings page missed too. Reinstalling not help.

I delete addon, opened addons tab, searched 'dkim'. I can-not install this addon from web - "this addon not compatable with your TB" I have actual TB version 78.1.1, wtf?
Version 3.x.x is not compatible with TB 78. A compatible version is in progress, but not finished yet.
You can get a pre-release that should work with TB 78 from

If you enable "Read Authentication-Results header" checkbox in the settings for this add-on, you can see the result of not only DKIM but also SPF and DMARC in the header pane for each message.

Depuis la dernière mise à jour presque tout les messages avec signature DKIM valide auparavant sont maintenant en alerte " La clé de signature non sécurisé (clé trop petite)"
Est ce un bug ou une nouvelle fonctionnalité ? Et comment faire "comme avant" ou avoir une meilleur clé
This is a new feature (Cryptographic Algorithm and Key Usage Update (RFC 8301)). But you can disable the warning, see https://github.com/lieser/dkim_verifier/issues/141#issuecomment-496317683 for details.
You can also try to report this to the sender, so that they update their key to a bigger one.

DKIM for hotmail.com does not work although hotmail has a valid DKIM record.
I guess CNAME entries are not evaluated, that's why.
This plugin is incomplete. It does not evaluate DKIM records correct.
