Mozilla never got around to putting the Address Book in a tab, but this add-on--effectively--does that. Throws in some other useful stuff, too. Very Nice.

Nice approach but as mentioned before is not working out of some other add-on as thunderbird conversations, which is a quite important add-on for me.
Any way to get a work around done, can it replace the original thunderbird adressbook editor, saying make it the default one.

Excellent well integrated tool with fast search option across all address books.
Wishes:
- Contact-Edit does not support all fields (e.g. adding a picture to the contact) so I still need to open the Address Book.
- missing 'want to save' dialog after editing a contact.
- Search Box also within the contact tab.
- Some button/icon/menu entry to directly open a contact tab and to then search a contact.
Great tools create many ideas :)

- You can add a picture to a contact in Contact Tabs's editor:
Simply click on the avatar picture on the left side.
- Search Box: You are right, it makes sense to have the
search bar available on Contact Tabs's tool bar. But it wont
help you with other tabs such as Lightening/Calendar.
Therefore, I suggest you move the search field to
Thunderbird's tab strip (right-click on Thunderbird's main tool
bar, click customize and move the search field to a different
spot).

This is the only and fastest addon I know which allows to search in ALL address books at once. Very well done!

This is the classical example of an extensio n so udeful you really wonder why it's not default. It would need only a thing to be perfect: add a "Search for: all fields" option...

Cette extension corrige le principal défaut de Thunderbird. On peut enfin faire une recherche simultanément sur TOUS les carnets d'adresse, soit sur la barre d'outils courriers, soit surtout en recherche automatique (completion) dans la case destinataires des nouveaux messages.
A installer sans hésiter.

It will be nice to see possibility to click the contact and open 'message compose window' instead of contact tab. Anyways this addon is one of the best. Great job.

A great time saver when filling out forms on the web where eddresses are needed. Don't have to go from page to page.

This is quite a good extension... Finally something that puts glodasearch across addressbooks. Great work.
Just one thing... I would suggest that after enter has been pressed for a contact, the search text is cleared. But this is a minor detail.

Very handy extension, wish it had a little more info (e.g. groups) and would love if it supported editing in the tab - at least notes.

Darauf habe ich schon lange gewartet, endlich eine Erweiterung die die täglich Arbeit erleichtert, weiter so.
Die Version 1.6.2 läuft bei mir bis Thunderbird 10.0a1 ohne Probleme.

This Add-on makes using multiple address books so much easier. It enables search across all address books in one step. I have many address books, (more then 10) Some categorize for aspects like sport, personal, country, business etc. Other competing aspects are whether a contact should be synced to certain devices at certain stages, like when traveling. While emailing, I cannot immediately recall where a specific contact was stored, nor why.
