Googlebar is much better than the official Google release. I hope you are going to update it for Firefox 3.0 , I really cant live without the Toggle Googlebar button.

You can install this on the latest release candidate for Firefox 3. I haven't tested stability, but I did get it installed. Right-click on the link and save the .xpi file to your computer. Rename it to .zip. Unzip. Open install.rdf with notepad. Find the Firefox section and change the maxVersion to something greater than 3.0 (I chose 3.5.0). Save install.rdf. Zip the entire directory back up. Rename back to .xpi. Drag the .xpi into a Firefox window. Voila - it works.

Googlebar is great, stable, works better than the official toolbar from Google (or Googlebar-lite even). I'm puzzled by some of the reviews stating that it is un-installable and unstable (both seem to be referring to the official "Google Toolbar", not this, "Googlebar". They are *NOT* the same thing!).

This is the best search bar I've seen for Firefox. I just wish it were under more active development.

Is there any work going around to develop google toolbar for firefox 3 later editions?

googlebar is good. But recently instead of google.com there also exists a blackle.com. Google with a black background. It would be nice if there also would be a "blacklebar". So that my searches outcome have a black background as well...

Compared to what google offers for firefox this is a huge upgrade. You can keep it compact, which I like.
I would like the option to add it like googlebar lite (drag it to the toolbar) rather than a whole toolbar. This would help though who set this bar to be as compact as possible so we'd have additional room to add stuff.
