I think I fixed the installation problem of add-on Manually Sort Folders for Thunderbird versions 103 and beyond!!

I am hosting the file in Google Drive. It is in zip format (same as xpi).

To test it, download the zip file then choose "Install Add-ons from file" in the Extension page of Thunderbird! Remember to remove the old version first.

I have updated the Changelog in the zip package describing what I did.

Note that I am NOT the official developers of this add-on, my changes cannot be applied directly to this project page!

Thunderbird v139 has the ability to manually sort folders by dragging them in the folder pane.

We are eagerly awaiting the update to the new version! This is one of the most exciting Thunderbird extensions.

Das Add-On ist leider schon seit langer Zeit nicht mehr mit Thunderbird kompatibel. Früher gehörte es bei mir zum Standard-Werkzeugkasten.

C'était effectivement une superbe extension très utile, et merci aux développeurs de Thunderbird d'avoir inclus cette fonctionnalité en standard (Paramètre des comptes et drag and drop sur un compte de messagerie). Thunderbird version 128.5

C'est quand une petite fonction aussi simple mais indispensable nous manque, que l'on se rend vraiment compte a quel point elle est indispensable! J'avais oublié que c'était nu Add-on tellement ça parait invraisemblable que ce ne soit pas déjà intégré dans ThunderBird! :(

Extremely useful add-on. I really hope that some kind of sorting feature will be implemented in one of the next TB updates, or that MSF will be updated itself.

That was a really great add-on! But I no longer believe it will be updated. Unfortunately. The author promised this months ago (Summer 2023) and nothing is happening. UPDATE OCT, 2024: I was right: still nothing happened! Why? The autors are no longer interested. Why don't they admit it, once and for all? I really regret my donation (to keep this add on alive) a few years ago!

I don't know what kind of promises were made by whom,
I imagine Jonathan is probably very busy and has lost his motivation regarding this add-on.
John has made a prototype (v3.2) of an alternative version, but it is still a prototype as it has not been approved by Jonathan.
Itagaki gave up on the folder sorting feature as an add-on and implemented a more intuitive feature in the TB core. It has been many months since this was submitted, but it will take some more time for the Thunderbird team to incorporate this into the product.

I love, nay, NEED this addon. It is so handy. But PLEASE, PLEASE update it for Thunderbird 115!

I know you can drag to sort accounts in Thunderbird 115, but you cannot do that with folders within individual accounts, and I really need that, since I use lots of filtered folders.

Add my voice to that of others - Why, oh why, oh why, has this not been updated?!!! It was about the most useful add-on for those of us who have way too many email accounts & way too many email folders!!!
