Looks like it works if you replace

if (this.mMsgUri == GetDBView().URIForFirstSelectedMessage) {

by this

if (this.mMsgUri == gDBView.URIForFirstSelectedMessage) {

in attbytes.js

...''Version 0.0.5 does nothing at all in Thunderbird 3 and 0.0.8 doesn't install and if forced not working too.''

I got the same 'test -result' as ablize here with german TB 3.0, too .

so it really needs a fix...

Sorry, Nick
Its not obsolete ... if you have more than one attachments maybe you would like to know the exact size of each one ...
That is what you have with this add-on ...
The size column shows up the whole size of msg and attach..s ...
Please, Frank ... take your time to see what is going on ...
Version 0.0.5 does nothing at all in Thunderbird 3 and 0.0.8 doesn't install and if forced not working too.

For the people complaining about this feature missing: go to the upper right corner, next to Subject, Sender and Date, left click on the box (over the scroll bar) and select Size to display. Voila, you have now a size column...

"You" have my vote for sure ;-)

This feature is so basic and important that I didn't even remember that it is not part of the core until updating to TB 3.0.

I believe it's not just a gimmick to get the information how large attachments are before downloading them to HD.

So hoping this extensions becomes compatible again with the latest TB version or even better getting this as a core feature soon.

Anyway, keep up the good work!!!

Thanks, Alex

Depended a great deal on this with earlier TB versions; but with TB3 (released) it does install without complaint, however does not work... no size appears when composing.

Please fix!

Excellent! Should be a default feature in TB!
(And I learned about the KiB or Kibibyte file size that uses the correct 1024 bytes instead of 1000!!)

This is an outstanding MUST have extension.

Doclucas, why on earth would you state that it's an excellent add-on, and then give it 1 star when it CLEARLY states that it's only compatible up to 3.0a1 ? Do you think that your poor excuse for reading the obvious will give incentive for the author to put in his time when you degrade his work? Next time READ, and if you don't like, then edit the install.rdf yourself.

Excellent Add-on. Unfortunately it does not work on Thunderbird 3. Hopefully it will be updated soon.

I love the plugins idea...no complains at all.
But some features are so basicly needed that TB developers should consider including these 30Kb of code to provide this functionality in the official TB release !!!
Come on !
Spread the word and vote for this please.

Just another user waiting for TB3 support. This add-on was very handy in previous versions of TB, so hopefully it will get updated to support TB3 soon.

As the others above, the add-on does not work with TB3 :(((
Please do something!!! This extension is SO useful!

I like this plugin very much. Can you please update it for TB3? I can install it, but it doesn't work anyway. :(
