I really like this Addon. Please make it work with TB Version 128.

Great application. Love the ability to delete multiple files from many emails at the same time in the sent folder then compress the mailbox. Would like the feature to have a scroll bar with multiple files and many emails being deleted of attachments. The ability to save is worthy.

Thank you for making such great software.

Great addon. Hope the developer writes an update for the latest version of T-Bird.

Please, please, please create an update that can be used with 128 version of thunderbird.... I'm using this add-on for years now and there isn't a better one like this on.

This seems to work fine, but my main bugbear is that it does not automatically save attachments on receipt of the email. A previous version of this by another developer did do this.

I tried to have the Attachment Extractor extract attachments from an e-mail that only has one .mp3 file attached. I used the default names. It extracted one file but the extracted file is only 1KB whereas when I manually extract the file it is 62,991KB. I am using Thunderbird 115.10.1 (32 bit) and it is the latest version. Help please

It works, except for some randomly chosen attachments. And there's no way to know which. So if you need to back up big amounts of emails, this is useless.

It was an excellent extension, however there are several posts-reviews where is reported that the extension is not saving the attachments and the developer is not answering nothing, about it. There are sometimes new updates but nothing looks to be changed about this matter.

Doesn't work for messages in Gmail IMAP folders but works after copying the messages to local email folders and try to extract attachments from there. Thunderbird 115.7.0, macOS Sonoma 14.2.1. No files extracted and no error message.

Also embedded images are not saved and can't be detached/deleted.

Works for me in Thunderbird 115.6.0 (64-Bit) under Linux. Thank you very much!

Extremely inconsistent behavior. If I select 20 emails that are all nearly identical (monthly reports with one attachment each, in my sent box), and then use this Add-On to "delete" them, it will make duplicates of MOST of them with the attachments deleted. So, I have to go back and figure out which were duplicated and find and delete the ones that still have attachments. Sometimes, I can select 5 emails and it will delete all 5 attachments no problem. Other times, I select any number of emails and it simply does not delete the attachments even though it says it did.

This is on TB 115.6.0 , using an imap gmail account.

I hope this can be fixed because it could potentially be a huge time (and space) saver. It seems to work perfectly when it works at all. The inconsistency is puzzling though and makes it not very helpful.

Works fine for extracting attachments from more than one email at a time.
However, when I detach the attachment it is stored where I directed it to be stored, BUT it does not disappear at the original place (in the mail).
When I delete it afterwards from the mail, I loose the pointer to the attachment in the file system, where I had stored it in the step before. That renders the extractor useless for me.
