I've been waiting patiently for this addon to work with Thunderbird 60.X. Hasn't been working since I upgraded. This morning I tried once again and "voila", it now works. Thank you for this little time and work saver. Now I can give you the 5 stars it (and you) deserve.

I had 2 folder, that named "Spam" (Thunderbird has self named and cannot rename) , these will not deleted with Xpunge :/

Xpunge and MultiXpunge are essential and so convenient. They complete Thunderbird and keep it clutter free. I have donated, again. Simply, the best!

Some of the functionality of Xpunge seems to be broken, so it is not as simple as changing the compatibility version.

Good idea. The killer feature would be 'Delete messages from Trash that are older than x days' -- ie the timer feature would always keep x days worth of messages just in case. Ideally, that would be work with Compact mailboxes too but this may not be that easy.

I love TB but one of its failings is the tendency for it to run slow if folders aren't cleaned out and compacted regularly. This amazing little toy (Xpunge) makes it so simple to keep Thunderbird humming along smoothly.

My most important TB add-on, but I didn't realize how much I depended upon it until I lost it with TB3. Now everything works great again. Thanks to the developer for updating this essential tool.

This is a must-have add-on in my opinion. In fact, its functionality should be part of TB. Kudos to the developer for getting it working with TB3!!
