there is a strange problem with this extension as well as the earlier menu editor. when you select text and do right-click, "search Google for ..." is missed sometimes. the strange thing is that it doesn't happen always. so far i have not been able to identify whether this happens with a pattern or not. It was tough identifying that this is due to MenuditorII as I have 50+ addons.
an even more strange thins is that this menu item is not totally hidden, but has a small transparent strip dedicated to it. no text or icon is visible, but if you hover your cursor over it, it appears as a blue selected strip and clicking it does the action of "search google for ...". if you change your default search plugin, it can recognize that and works normally ... only display is the problem.
i have no clue as to why it is happening and why only with this item.
can anybody shed some light on it.

are people actually using this in the latest TB? all i get when i try to install is this error message:
Menu Editor II 0.0.5 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Thunderbird 2.0.0.17.
(Menu Editor II 0.0.5 will only work with Thunderbird versions from 1.1a1 to 1.5.0.*)
Can't really see much improvement comparing to the original Menu Editor yet. Please fix the conflicts with DownThemAll and FlashGot cascading menu and custom menu entries. Those bugs have really been getting on my nerves for the past year or so :(

Thanks for this great add-on.
A few suggestions :
- add a function to create a new folder in context menu
- enlarge or give ability to change the size of option windows.
I've installed version II, because version I had a problem on Firefox start.

Sooo are you waiting for Firefox 3.1 before making Menu Editor II handle the Bookmarks and History menus?

Would love it if this included an option to export settings so users who reinstall their OS don't have to manually go through and re-edit menus.

I was too fast when I thought the problem with Down Them ALL had been fixed with this fork ;-( When I rearrange the context menu entries of DTA, and restart Firefox, the test of DTA will disappear when right clicking on a non downloadable object, but the symbols will still be there! Only way to solve this was to delete the menuedit.rdf file, but it will only be okay until you rearrange the context menu again. I hope you manage to find fix this! It would be a great extension then, that should be integrated Firefox by default.

Great extension. I used the original version before, until it had conflicts with "Down Them All". Now it works again with no problem! THX!

My most used extension, no problems so far. Only feature I would love is the option to delete past context items that are left over. They're uninstalled and are sill displayed in editor.

In this extension, you will have to open options and re-apply every single modified menu on every startup. In the classic Menu Editor, this is done correctly; however it fails on parsing the context menu correctly, e.g., the "Open link with IE Tab" is also shown if you aren't right-clicking a site. Couldn't these 2 extensions be merged?
btw, I'm using Firefox 3b5

I don't know what did the new developer change but the extension still conflicts with the must have Add Bookmark Here 0.5.8 extension. It no longer crashes, but browsing through the bookmarks menu creates a new "add bookmark here" entry for every submenu you hover. A low rating until this is finally fixed.

If you don't think you need this, you're right you want it! I used to be sitting on the fence about how trivial it might be to adjust menus, like some of you reading this right now thinking about whether or not to commit to clicking that button over there and sitting through a restart... Do it! (I invoke my power over you as a peer and pressure you!) I installed for the first time about two weeks ago and now I'm back for two more downloads, maybe I'll just archive the xpi and make it an attachment to all my emails. Yeah, that's what I'll do! I think you get the point that I love this extension. When you guys get your fix and come back for more, thank Bogdan for picking this work back up, and Devon Jensen, Nickolay Ponomarev for starting the work, Much thanks to all of you guys. Btw I think I wouldn't be the only one that would like to edit the bookmark context menu and get properties/rename much higher up on the menu.

Thanks for reactivating this ext.
Btw. If you'd like to modify statusbar - look for Organize Status Bar at http://yellow5.us/firefox/osb/
