Appears to be broken now. Shows 0 messages constantly.

I add my voice to the other reviews. This add-on currently does not work with Google's 2-step authentication. It seems to log in, but only shows 0 unread messages and 0 MB used.

After leaving old gold standard Gmail Manager I’ve started to use Gmail Manager NG.
It works with Firefox 16.0.2 with master password but there is a problem with Firefox windows size.
Simply Firefox does NOT starts with maximized window if Gmail Manager NG is enabled!
Everything else works like expected. Does anybody else had same problem with Firefox and Gmail Manager NG?!

Will not remember password no matter how I put them in. A restart after filling in all passwords opens a new window asking for the password again for each account. Works in Palemoon64 15.02, but doesn't work in Waterfox or Firefox 16.0x. Each version of NG has worked the same for me.

There is a better option out there. I've used Gmail Manager for at least 5 years going back to the original publisher's version. I was glad when the NG version showed up since there didn't seem to be anything like Gmail Manager. However now I notice that, depending on how much memory Firefox is currently using and how many tabs I have open, Firefox often hangs or freezes momentarily as it checks email. Once done checking, Firefox unfreezes. Now I've found Gmail Checker and I'm amazed. No issues with that one so far and it gives a email subject preview in a dropdown list without having to go directly to the inbox..

You just need to get Mozilla to take down the original one, so people can find this one.

I was using the old Todd Long version of Gmail Manager for years and thankful to find this fork. As another user suggested, it doesn't fully work with 2-Step authentication. I tried using an application specific password to no avail, but using my main password allows login once this computer was marked as trusted. However, the unread count always shows 0.

It works well but it's unread mail count is not perfect. I think if there is no new mail, nothing should be displayed instead of 0. Google mail checker in chrome does this very well.

Seems like everyone likes this and I want to do the same, but I'm not getting access with 2-Step Authentication. I used Application-specific password but still nothing.
Anyone using this with 2-Step?

I was unable to login to one of my Google accounts with the original Gmail Manager, but works perfectly with your fork ... thanks!

It makes my custom toolbars, which includes the location bar, vanish, just like the later version of the original.

Works just like it should. A perfect Fork of the original. Thank you so much!

"I also prefer Gmail Checker's way of organizing the accounts. Having all accounts and email previews under a single toolbar icon."
RE Mr Sprarkle: You can acomplish this on this add on as well. On the modify account page, choose the toolbar tab. Then uncheck it on all accounts except the one you want to display in the ad on bar.
I had to dick a star because it does not seem to handle the cookies as well as Gmail Checker. Both are finicky at best, but GMNG would not let me log in to any other acounts, besides my default, even though I have not logged in to them through the gmail site.
On a side note, I am glad some one picked up this project! I wish more Devs would pick up old projects(not just in FF) when authors go awol.

seems like there is a pretty big error that when you log in and click into an account it logs you into google.... if you then log out or select log out of all accounts from GMNG it keeps you logged into google.

Thank you Erik for picking this up. Since you don't seem to have set up a support section yet I wanted to let you know that probably around FX version 11 or maybe 12 my gmail manager sound notifications stopped working. FWIW, I'm on a linux machine, but sounds did work until recently. Thanks again.

I used the original GM in the past and this one seems to work great. I still prefer my current addon, Gmail Checker, because I can delete, archive, mark as read, my email right from the toolbar instead of having to load the gmail page. It's way more convenient.
But this is still a good extension and I would go back to this if I couldn't use Gmail Checker. The one advantage this has over Gmail Checker is that each account can be configured to check mail at different intervals, where as Gmail Checker only has one setting that applies to every account.
I also prefer Gmail Checker's way of organizing the accounts. Having all accounts and email previews under a single toolbar icon.
If you can add these things to Gmail Manager I would switch over in a heartbeat!

I was looking for a different add-on and found this, thank god! This works much better then Todd's does now, and its supported. So happy I didnt have to change.
