When dealing with a kizillion username / password combinations for different websites. Changing or editing passwords is a nightmare, because one have to delete it first and then re-save the changed combination. This often is a trail-and-error process. Sometimes it works, others times it don't. So much so, that I rarely edit / change password / username combinations and only when it is absolutely critical to do so. With the 'Saved Passwords Editor' extension, it is a quick, easy and ALWAYS successful process. A very useful extension which "protect" my nerves from being shot to hell.

Just what I needed! Once I'd removed a saved password from list, I spent hours trying to get Firefox to start saving it again. Thanks

This has been driving me nuts for so long. I don't know why this isn't a featured extension or the first hit when you google "firefox won't save my password". Thank you so very much.

nearly perfect... and a perfect collaboration with add-on "QuickPasswords"
- SPE establishes trouble-free logins with the one exception of the most querulent site in this universe: "https://login.live.com".
It's not possible to login in this misfit with 'Saved Password Editor' nor with the Firefox's built-in passwordmanager.
Admittedly I'm longtime used to get troubles with some software-companies' site-impertinences.

Thank You for your answer. iMacros for Firefox works perfect. And imho it's not too powerful. Very easy to install, to adjust and then a very simple use. I made a link in the firefox-bookmarks (with a corresponding keyword) to each macro - I do nearly same comfortable and fast logins now to those "SPE"-inkompatible sites as with "Saved Password Editor".
You might try iMacros for Firefox. It's quite powerful, in fact a lot more powerful than is needed in a case like this, but it's the only thing I know of right now that is likely to work. I haven't actually tested it with live.com since I don't have an account, but I see no reason it wouldn't.
I recommend using iMacros' master password feature, or the password will be stored unencrypted in the script you create.

Really fantastic plugin. So good that Firefox should pay you and just put it in the regular browser. Thanks so much for this.

A must-have add-on!! Excellent!! Thanks a LOT! (Too often (very) stupid Firefox's password manager doesn't popup to store a new or add another id/password for a site, and with this great add-on I can now manually add logins/passwords for those sites!)

Works perfectly. Does exactly what it says it does, and helped me clean up quite a mess in my passwords.
Great add-on!

This wonderful add-on may not be the greatest thing since self-adhesive postage stamps but it comes very close!

Just what I was looking for, thanks mate...

No idea why it took me so long to think of looking for an add-on to do this! Really useful for sites that, for whatever reason, bypass the automatic password detection (probably nonsense like postback). Now I can continue to have unique passwords for sites and safely forget one or two ;-)

An essential tool that allows Firefox to be a central repository for all your secure passwords. Could do with its own export function though, separate from any Firefox account migration tool.
