EDIT 09/28/2020: I was sad when 2.0.2 stopped working after a Thunderbird upgrade. Now imagine my joy when today I opened Thunderbird, the plugin auto updated to 2.0.4 and all my folders showed up sorted exactly how I had them before. THANK YOU!!! *original post: I was using this add-on for so long and never had a problem, it was just there and worked perfectly. Now with the last Thunderbird upgrade this great add-on no longer works and I hope the developer can fix it. I understand it is free and the developer does not owe us anything. It was great while it worked. Thank you.

Just been updated to TB 78.2.2 and now this awesome addon no longer works hope it gets updated soon cant live without it.

Geez....what a dope I was.....after installing the extension you simply goto the TOOLS in the menu (the one that is on the very top, to the left..... If yer a dope like me, just RIGHT-CLICK the mouse after the last visible tab & click on 'MENU BAR'......now don't ya feel like a schmuck---I know...I know....I know.......enough ta make ya spit.....I know......Now once you have the menu bar goto 'TOOLS', & scroll down to the 'Manually sort folders' item....click it......up pops the sorting box........now yer on yer own....have fun.....works a treat on Thunderbird Portable v68.12.0 (64-bit)

It doesn't work on 78.2 although from previous experience it worked perfectly!

Does the job! But I had problems and thought it was not working until I read, in another review, that the 'Menu bar' must be enabled. I suggest this requirement be made clear.

68.11.0 (32-bit) Add-on won't install. I get error message that the add-on is "unverified" by Mozilla and it doesn't give me any option to install anyway.

TB 68.11.0 64 -bit - Doesn't work. There is no "Manually Sort Folders" under Tools menu.

Edit: Menu Bar was hidden. You have to show Menu Bar and then Tools > Manually sort folders. Works like a charm!

Have added and re-added several times and still no option to sort folders in the "tools" menu.
Using version 68.11.0 (32-bit).
I would have thought Account and Folder re-ordering should be a basic feature in Thunderbird.

UPDATE: now having read other reviews saying to activate the menu bar.... bingo its all good.

Un clic pour charger, et tout de suite opérationnel, ça a marché du tonnerre.
One clic to download it into Thunderbird (68.11.0), and it immediately worked perfectly.

OK. I downloaded it. Now, it would be nice to know how to add it to Thunderbird, so I can resort my email accounts. I don't understand why this is so difficult.

I really liked this add-on when using older versions of Thunderbird. However, updating to to 78 changed enerything. Now I switched towards 80b3 which -at least- made GPG possible again. But ManuallySortFolders cannot be installed. Please continue your valueable work. Kind regards from Germany...

Before using this add-on each of my systems had email accounts in a different order. Now they are very nicely in the same order across all systems. Been waiting a long time to discover this.

just updated to thunderbird 78.0.1
( windows 10 64 bit)
there is no "options" to open

=> did i oversee something or is the add-on currently not working with thunderbird 78.0.1?

A large number of mail accounts in the left frame of this add-on window do not fit vertically. There is no slider to scroll vertically for a long list of accounts within a frame. Therefore, a long list of accounts pushes the top and bottom borders of the add-on window so much that they go beyond the borders of the screen. As a result, the settings control buttons in the plugin window become unavailable for clicking. The plug-in window itself cannot be moved across the screen to set the size of its borders. I think this plugin is important for work. But it requires significant improvement. Thanks to the author for the hard work. I want to wish him perseverance in his work.

Большое число почтовых аккаунтов в левом фрейме окна этого дополнения не помещаются по вертикали. Нет ползунка прокрутки по вертикали длинного списка аккаунтов внутри фрейма. Поэтому длинный список аккаунтов раздвигает верхние и нижние границы окна дополнения настолько, что они уходят за границы экрана. В результате кнопки управления настройками в окне плагина становятся недоступны для нажатия мышкой. Само окно плагина невозможно передвинуть по экрану чтобы задать размеры его границ. Считаю этот плагин важным для работы. Но он требует существенной доработки. Автору спасибо за труды. Хочу пожелать ему упорства в работе.

Я использую это дополнение совместно с ThunderBird 68.0 на Windows 7 x64.
