Chouette pour Exchange

I want to rate this 5 stars; I really do. When GoDaddy forced all hosted email accounts onto Exchange, without Owl my choices would have been either webmail or Outlook after using Thunderbird happily for over a decade. I was pissed but not willing to try to migrate some 75GB of email history to a new host, so Owl it was.

And it works! It lets me keep my Exchange email addresses in Thunderbird, organize the inboxes, check them, send and receive mail. But...

Yeah. But.

Here's the problem:

It. Constantly. Freezes.

This is only a sometimes issue, I think maybe something to do with compatibility between versions as either Thunderbird or Owl updates, but whenever it's doing something like saving a draft or checking new messages, it freezes my entire Thunderbird app for 5-10 minutes. Which is annoying as hell when I'm trying to read an email and can't scroll down because it's all frozen, or trying to send an email and can't type a thing. If I wait for a few weeks it'll usually resolve itself with another version update, but it's been over a month with this latest spell and I'm still hoping it'll stop this. Otherwise it would be an absolutely perfect little lifesaver.
