It just works. For those of us who have to copy text from web pages a LOT this addon is such a time and frustration saver. Thank you!

Great add-on for users that want to copy plain text instead of formatted text. The preferences menu provides useful formatting options. Additionally, it allows you to use the extension by replacing the default copy action or by adding a new hotkey-combo and context menu item.
One suggestion for improvement: Add a preference that allows users which have replaced the default copy action to copy text with formatting using ctrl-shift-c. That way, users which have replaced the default copy action can still occasionally copy text with formatting without having to change preferences.

made on,off button like auto copy2.
i'm always plain text ON , but some time code copy, go add-on plain text setting OFF and copy. it's done, then go again add-on and setting ON, it's not good plz made ON OFF thank you

I'm trying to use this addon with Autocopy 1.0.8, and an option enabling Copy Plain Text is checked in its options, but somehow the text still copies with spaces (like "trim spaces around text", which is checked in CPT options, doesn't work). Don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this problem.
Apart from that, it's a nice little addon, it saves a lot of clicking or using shortkeys on the keyboard. Help a lot with some monotonous work, requiring a lot of ctrl+c ctrl+v.

Saves me time from copying stuff to notepad to remove formatting. It even has a "Ctrl+Shift+C" shortcut.

Love this add-on and use it a lot. But I don't have the "Copy as plain text" option in Context Menu. How to add it?

I already wrote one review for this add-on-kind of a lackadaisical one but the longer I have this add-on and the more I use it, the more I love it! So easy to right click and just copy the text without having to worry about the formatting. Again-thank you !!

Wenn man nur copy & paste nutzt, kann es in Officeprogrammen zu merkwürdigen Formatierungen kommen. Hier setzt das addon schon beim Kopieren hilfreich an.

This is a fantastic tool for share-aholic types like me.
Very simple and easy to set up, and then you can forget it is installed. It saves me a lot of time.
I'm always wanting to email links of interesting pages, and usually I want to cut and paste the title and key paragraph into the email.
With Copy Plain Text there I no longer have to go through extra steps to remove the web page formatting from the email -- it is removed for me by this tool.
It only affects stuff copied from Firefox, and then it does not matter what it is pasted into.
Stuff copied inside, say, from one Word document to another is not affected. Only stuff copied from Firefox is affected. Which is how it should be, it is good.

Incredibly useful when multiple documents are open and need editing. I use it for all of my photo editing and Ebay listings. Very easy and smooth operation.

Potential improvement: remove not only leading or trailing spaces, but also leading or trailing empty lines/linebreaks.

插件很好用，但希望能增加设置快捷键的功能。以前有个插件叫Extended Copy Menu，功能包含“复制为纯文本”和“复制为HTML”，重要的是它拥有ctrl+alt+c这样很方便的快捷键。希望这款插件也能实现以上功能。
